The Apple iPhone 5s combines extremely sophisticated looks - aluminium housing and even Sapphire crystal protecting the camera and on the home button - with high performance in the shape of the first 64 bit processor in a smartphone. Available in 3 memory sizes - 16, 32 and 64GB - and three striking colours - Gold, Silver and Space Grey - the iPhone 5s features a better, faster camera than previous models, a fingerprint sensor for added security and the new iOS7 operating system.

The new security feature is called Touch ID and is simply activated by a fingerprint, so much easier than entering a passcode every time you use your phone. The iSight camera on the 5s is 8 megapixel with a long list of features, the new ones being a 15% larger sensor to let in more light, Continuous Burst mode, allowing you to take 10 shots in a second and True Tone flash, combining white and amber LEDs to get just the right balance for your subject. There's also an HD FaceTime camera. Of course the apps available in the iTunes Store add to the phone immensely and many good ones come pre-installed or are free to download from the store. There is a range of cases available for the iPhone 5s in yellow, beige, blue, brown, black and red.
