Its not a Zombieland rip off by any means but is similar enough and its not nearly as good. This film was a pleasant break from the serious heavy movies on this topic. Once they run out of ammo, they lock themselves in the building and the zombies follow them upstairs. The leads are all fairly enjoyable in this movie, everyone gives a pretty good performance but Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is another addition to the already oversaturated zombie genre. When it started with Blake from Workaholics playing a janitor, I thought, okay this may be actually good. This review is for the Blu-Ray version of Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. While Augie is still deeply in love with being a scout, Ben and Carter want out but are afraid to tell their friend. Of course they split from Augie, the schlub, to attend.

Three nerdy high school sophomores, Ben, Carter, and Augie, are trying to recruit new members into their Scout troop which is led by the overly enthusiastic Scout Leader Rogers Koechner. Carter and Ben are invited to a secret party but already have a camping trip planned to the nearby woods. They scheme to sneak away when Augie falls asleep and return before he wakes up. They arrive in town to find it seemingly deserted. Seeing no bouncer outside the local club, the boys use the opening to sneak inside…where they are promptly attacked by seductive zombie strippers and the bouncer. They are rescued by Denise Dumontthe beautiful cocktail waitress. Meanwhile Augie has also returned to town trying to located Scout Leader Rogers to find out why he did not show up for the trip. Rogers has already been turned into a scout guide to the zombie apocalypse, however. Neither element works particularly well. None of the characters are compelling in the least and are more lifeless than the zombies whom they fight.
