More often than not, except otherwise defined, most people (especially adults) enter into a relationship with the sole aim of marriage. Most times, some get fortunate to have their desire of marriage met at the end but for others, it often end in disappointment and betrayal. Interestingly, though, there are times that the partners of the latter leave some signs behind for them to read. Due to the feeling of love involved and some other distractions, they end up missing out the signals. It is not always a pleasant experience for those who have spent years dating their partners only to come to the sad realization that their partners never had them in their future marriage plans.
Nevertheless, to avoid being taken by surprise in your relationship, look out for the following signs, because they are indicators that your relationship may not lead to marriage.
1. Lack of emotional security. Deep down in you, you will not feel safe about the relationship. You will be having some doubts within you due to some of the behaviours and attitudes that your partner often display. When you have that inexplicable feeling of emotional insecurity in you, don't ignore it, because that may be your instinct giving you a signal that your lover is not having marriage intentions towards you.
2. Lack of openness. Most relationships that end in marriage most times have one thing in common - mutual openness between both parties. They open up their plans and goals with each other without any form of secrecy and reservations. They carry each other along in all their endeavours. When your partner keep things from you, that may be a sign that he/she does not have you in his/her future plans.
3. Presence of flirting. Any man or lady who is interested in marrying you in the future will not be jumping from one opposite gender to another. He/she will be committed to only you.
4. Inability of both parties to introduce each other to their parents, friends and family members. A relationship that is marriage inclined is not hidden from the parents, friends and loved ones of the parties involved. The parties introduce each other to their individual family members and those in the circle of their lives without hiding themselves and their relationship from the aforementioned people.
5. Exploitation. Any man or lady who is having the intention of marrying you in the future will not exploit you financially, emotionally, materially and otherwise.
6. Absence of involving each other in their future plans. One good thing about people who have each other in their future agenda is sharing their individual plans with each other without hiding things they intend to do from themselves.
7. Absence of marriage related conversation. Communicating about marriage inclined discussions and making visible plans to execute them is a sign of a relationship that is most likely to end in marriage. In a situation where you have been in a relationship for one year and still counting without your partner making reference to marriage issues, there is every possibility that he/she does not see you worth getting married to in the nearest future.
