  1. Old age is a period in the life of everyone where almost all organs of the body starts the weaken including the immune system. During this stage of your life, your body becomes prone to a lot of chronic diseases as well as common diseases.

  6. As old age comes around, one of the important things you should put in your diet is fruits and vegetables. This is mostly because they are the powerhouse of nutrients that are beneficial to the body.
  7. Most artificial fruits and supplements cannot give you what eating fruits and vegetables can give you, this is why you should eat it more often at old age.

  9. If you are the type that loves taking tea every morning, it is important that you avoid milk and chocolate Tea and consume more of natural teas. Some natural teas good for people at old age is green tea, black tea, Hibiscus tea and also lemon grass tea.

  12. Make it a custom that you must avoid anything that contains sugar. This includes junk food because they are mostly packed with sugar. Sugar has been proven to be the major risk factor to a lot of conditions such as diabetes and also other cardiovascular conditions.

  14. Exercise should become one of your major priority because they prevent a lot of health related conditions such as heart diseases and reduce your chances of developing weight which is more dangerous at old age.

  16. This is not compulsory but it is recommended by experts that you take more of meatless meals and eat more of fish. This is because fish is a great source of nutrients such as Omega 3 fatty acids and other nutrients needed for better health.
