  2. This package acts as a wrapper packages and will download the Flash Player from Adobe. It is a Netscape/Mozilla type plugin. Any browser based on Netscape or Mozilla can use the Flash Player such as
  3. Mozilla-Firefox
  4. Iceweasel
  5. Iceape
  6. Galeon
  7. Epiphany
  8. Konqueror if konqueror-nsplugins is installed.
  9. Installation
  10. Open a terminal and edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list using a text editor and make sure following line exists:
  11. deb ftp debianorg/debian stable main contrib non-free
  12. Save and close the file. Type the following command:
  13. $ sudo apt-get update
  14. Next, type the following apt-get command to install flash player plugin:
  15. $ sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
  16. OR
  17. # apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
