  7. This requires a visit to the to get a new one. As you can imagine, upon arrival there, I found myself at the end of a long line of people waiting to go to the front of the line to get a number so they could wait for the number to be called, and they can complete their transaction. My issue is that I am unable to breathe amidst copious amounts of perfumes many people wear. I also have balance issues and could possibly fall over and hurt myself or someone else. I stood there for several minutes contemplating my options. I could leave and try to come back at another time, but that would likely have the same issue upon my return. When would I have time to come back anyway. Just having the time to come in that day was a stroke of pure luck, as I actually had time to take a lunch instead of eating in my car on the way to the next meeting. Social workers are always extremely busy, but I digress. I scooted to my left, leaning slightly against the control barrier that kept the wayward patrons in a squiggly line between it and the wall. I was trying my hardest not to fall over. I held my breath, as there were a large number of perfumed people in the building that day. I looked toward the front of the line, and lo and behold, there it was…the large blue and white disability sign hanging proudly above the front counter. I held my hand over my nose and mouth as I headed out of the vapor-filled line to go around the control barrier ropes life with dogs word search then walked along the opposite side of the barrier toward the front. I stood there at the front looking hopefully at the lady behind the counter as she finished with her current customer. When she completed her transaction, she looked up at me leaning against my service dog, Oren, for support and struggling to breathe. She smiled and called me up next. I quickly told her I just needed a new placard and showed her my old broken one. She gave me a number and told me which line to get into for the placard which was, of course, another line to stand in. Thankfully, it looked to be a short one with only two other people in it. There must have been whispers behind me while I moved to the other side of the line and toward the front because, oh my goodness, I thought Oren and I were going to start a riot. As I walked back the way I came in past the line of fully-abled people, there were a lot of irate individuals looking my direction. There were also a lot of loud and angry conversations going on. Sometimes, a person with a disability is unable to purchase goods or services via the usual life with dogs word search practice routes. For this reason, the requires that businesses provide to their usual operations when necessary so a customer with a disability can have the same access to goods and services as those who do not have disabilities. I previously went to an amusement park with my daughter and my sister. I went to the disability office and told them I was unable to stand in long lines. They, essentially, saved my place in line until my return, and we got to participate in the rides, just like everyone else did. When I go to conventions, I look for the disability entrance to get through that line with fewer issues and then the disability information booth to discuss how they can help me during my time there. They are always happy to help. The businesses you frequent have the responsibility to ensure you can life with dogs word search the same access to their goods and services that everyone else receives. All you have to do is ask for it.
