As you can imagine, upon arrival there, I found myself at the end of a long line of people waiting to go to the front of the line to get a number so they could wait for the number to be called, and they can complete their transaction. I stood there for several minutes contemplating my options. I could leave and try to come back at another time, but that would likely have the same issue upon my return. When would I have time to come back anyway. Just having the time to come in that day was a stroke of pure luck, as I actually had time to take a lunch instead of eating in my car on the way to the next meeting. Social workers are always extremely busy, but I digress. I scooted to my left, leaning slightly against the control barrier that kept the wayward patrons in a squiggly line between it and the wall. I was trying my hardest not to fall over. I held my breath, as there were a large number of perfumed people in the building that day. I looked toward the front of the line, and lo and behold, there it was…the large blue and white disability sign hanging proudly above the front counter. I held my hand over my nose and mouth as I headed out of the vapor-filled line to go around the control barrier ropes life with dogs word search then walked along the opposite side of the barrier toward the front. I stood there at the front looking hopefully at the lady behind the counter as she finished with her current customer. As I walked back the way I came in past the line of fully-abled people, there were a lot of irate individuals looking my direction. There were also a lot of loud and angry conversations going on. Sometimes, a person with a disability is unable to purchase goods or services via the usual life with dogs word search practice routes.
