There are a lot of things that can be said in this chapter. But the thing that sticks out about this chapter to me is that nowhere is it saying that the love is a feeling or feeling of something. There is nowhere, you can check it twice. But what takes my attention is the part where it is written what love does and doesn't do.
Love suffereth long, and is kind; Love envieth not; Love vaunteth, not itself, is not puffed up, etc.
Now we are talking about something real. Now we are talking about actions.
That was a discovery in my life. I started to study peoples relationships. What was the difference between the successful relationships and the unsuccessful? And I saw what was true. The only difference was the way of acting with each other. It’s not about feelings; it's about how you treat the other half of the relationship.
THE WAY YOU ACT
DETERMINATES IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY OR NOT!
SO LOVE IS SIMPLY A WAY OF ACTING. THAT’S IT!
You can believe me or not. But for proof of my point look at the world around you. Ask your Grandma or Grandpa, what love is. Ask people who have years of successful marriage. And then you will probably agree with me, that love is a way of acting. That’s all it is. It’s so much harder to show love with your actions than with your words. The research shows that in more of the relationships the attraction between both sides vanishes after the second year. So what's left after two years? To be with a person who shows love with his/her actions is something rare in this world. If you have somebody like this, you are lucky.
We talk about love, but the book is to fear right? What's the connection between them? Fear is also a way of acting. However, the seed of the fear is the way of THINKING! Fear is a way of acting because it stops you doing so many things. Not doing something is also a way of acting. And sometimes it's wrong. Remember that fear stops you from being great. But every human being needs fears. It’s necessary and good, and bad at the same time. Before I tell you more about the fear, I want to take you on the next question and then we will explain more about fear.
