  12. I have never succeeded in truly remaining friends with an Ex. For some reason every time i have been truly in love with someone it ends on a fairly bad note and there are far too many hard feelings on one side or the other to be ‘just friends’.

  16. I would tend towards no, but there is an ex of mine I’d put in the “friendly aquaintences” category. Not really friends but we don’t hate each other either. I wish him well, but I have no significant emotional feelings towards him, good or bad.

  20. i don’t like how the article says it’s easier for the dumper to move on; It wasn’t easy for me to let my last boyfriend go and I still miss him. I’m hoping that in time we’ll be able to be friends—but it will likely be the “let’s exchange e-mails every now and again and make sure that neither of us are dead” kind of friends, rather than “let’s hang out and see each other frequently” kind.
