Baguio has been having a particularly chilly week. On Tuesday, it set the city's previous record for 2017 after temperature dropped to 8 degrees Celsius in the morning.
It also hit 9.4 and 9.2 degrees Celsius on Monday and Sunday, respectively.
The chilly weather is caused by the northeast monsoon or hanging Amihan, which brings cold wind from Siberia and China to the Philippines.
The weather bureau said temperatures might drop even further in February, and that tourists and residents of the city can expect chilly weather in the city until March.
