The most famous of the national parks in Africa is the Awash National Park. It is easy to reach especially when you come from Addis Ababa. In the far north of this park, it has a hot spring that can be used as a local water stock. The park almost has 300 species of birds and a very diverse collection of animals. Some of them are endangered and exclusive to the country. The 17-mile Awash River gives a refreshing rafting journey when the river is not wild for the time being.
