Understand not the latency, though the manifest,
Praise not the inspiration, though the locomotion,
Hands, weapons to destroy, tools to build,
Pounding velocity in the veins and atteries,
Spare not the choice, to pull or to push,
Love not the function, to rescue or to destroy,
Hands, to hold a pen or to break it into pieces
Forget not the extent, to touch or to hold,
Sensual or mutual, feel the impulse of the fingers
To open the door, or to close and bang it,
Hands, such are the wonderments of nature,
Nature so destroying by its wonderments,
Spare but the bad, our hands shall do good.
