  1. With Hurricane Harvey sweeping the state of Texas, social media has been flooded with cries for help by devastated residents.
  2. Photos of catastrophes all over the state has broken our hearts, but have also encouraged us to reach out and help the victims in any way we could. One particular photo of a group of elderly women flooded up to their waists in water in La vita Bella nursing home was posted to Twitter a couple of days ago.

  5. The message read: “La Vita Bella nursing home in Dickinson, Texas, is almost underwater.”
  6. Timothy McIntosh, the son-in-law of the nursing home’s owner said, “We knew it was a ‘life-or-death’ situation. You’re talking about people in wheelchairs, that are on oxygen, and the water is up to their chests.” Luckily, all of the residents were saved by helicopter.

  8. Another photo surfaced of a little boy trapped on a roof, hiding for cover under a blanket, and came with the very heartbreaking message: “Anybody please my friend is losing faith. She feels like they are running out of time. Please, she has five kids.” Sunday morning, the victim posted on YouTube: “Could somebody please find me some help? Please!”
  9. More videos and Instagram posts keep surfacing of families and pets in need and we hope anyone with any means to help could.
  10. We’re praying for the residents of Texas.
