Ecuador has many islands and one of the most visited archipelagos of the country in Galapagos Islands. In Galapagos, there is a smaller island called Baltra and it is an island full of Palo Santo trees, Pear Cactus and Atriplex, a type of saltbush. This island is one of the places to visit in Ecuador. The Baltra Island has a rich history which consists of being an army base for the US troops during the World War II and as a military station for Ecuador post liberation. Also, Baltra is a breeding place for Ecuadorian iguanas.
