High maternal mortality rate, regular rape and female genital mutilation (FGM), and limited access to healthcare facilities for women make Somalia, one of the worst countries for females to live in.
The country is voted as the 5th most dangerous place to be born as a woman. According to the survey conducted by the ‘Human Right Watch’ rape isn’t anything new. According to the organization, most of the times rapists are the men from the police department, which makes it even hard for the victim to raise their voice.
