The Trongsa District is the official residential district of Bhutan’s royal family. The King himself lives in the Thruepang Palace where his ancestors before him have also resided. Aside from the palace, tourists can visit the Trongsa Dzong. Bhutanese people boast of the solidity of this fortress – it has never been penetrated ever. You will also have an intriguing experience at the Chendebji Chorten. It is believed that an evil spirit was trapped here and that’s the reason why there is a chorten.
