  1. Hi! My name is Mona. I would like to share my story and explain why I’m asking for your help.
  2. I’m a hard worker. I don’t live an extravagant lifestyle. My house is small and made in 1960. My car is 12 years old. I know that what I do have is a blessing. I try to help people as much as possible.
  3. My cousin is trying to restart his life. I believe we all need someone to help us and give us hope. I’m helping to pay his rent and utilities. It’s worth the struggle to see him smile and say I’m getting there, thanks for believing in me.
  4. When my husband’s sister lost her job. We helped pay her bills until she was back on her feet.
  5. I volunteer my time and try to be a role model.
  6. I’m used to being the giver and now it seems, I’m the one needing help.
  7. When my dad passed away 4years ago, I helped my mom with her bills and around the house. She was my best friend. She passed away suddenly in March last year. I had a large funeral bill to pay. As I started moving into the house, I realized that there were a few things that needed to be fixed. The more I started finding that things were a lot worse than I had realized. The linoleum had tears in it. When we removed it, we found mold. We ended up having to replace the wood as well. The heat pump and wash machine stopped working. It seemed endless with everything falling apart. It was extremely costly.
  8. My husband had started having some health problems. He was in the Army and never was sick. He ran everyday. He got to where he couldn’t breath. Coughing like someone with the flu. We had several visits of try this medicine or that medicine. Nothing was helping his severe coughing. He was sent to a pulmonologist. Several tests were run. They decided to do a biopsy to see if they could figure out what was causing this in such a young man. The biopsy found no results and during the procedure they cut his right abdominal nerve. It controls the whole side of the abdominal muscle. So the operated and placed a mesh to hold up the right abdominal wall. Still no idea of what’s causing this. He was sent to another pulmonologist. He began the extensive testing again. It seemed as though we lived at the doctor’s office or the hospital. Then we were told that he has fibrosis and it’s spreading in his lungs. They still don’t know why or how. After several months of try this or that, they wanted him to go to a special university hospital where they felt might be able to do something more for him. Again more test. It’s out of network.
  9. We have taken all of our saving and 401k , maxed out our credit cards to pay for all of this. And still owe $85000. We’ve exhausted every avenue to pay. We have nothing left. The APR on the credit cards are so high, we are only paying the interest. I called my creditors to see what can be done.
  10. I’m usually a very positive person, but I don’t know what else to do. I’m hoping and praying that someone will be able to help me in my time of need. Thank you for listening to my story.
  11. I'm raising money for her..
