  9. You might expect that with a mom like me, who really was on top of it from the start, my daughter would have been shielded from negative influences on these questions. Not at all. I had to be vigilant, raise the subject constantly, tell her where her friends were going wrong, refuse to let her do things her friends were (like coed sleepovers). It was a constant and exhausting effort. Did it work? Yeah, as far as I know. But I was a SAHM through her high school years. Most moms just aren’t going to have the opportunity and tenacity to see something like this through. In fact, most are in denial – they don’t even realize the full extent of the problem.

  11. And yet you “fixed” (marred) my quote earlier by saying…
  12. I was just looking to get things started, I didnt mean to step on toes.
  13. Whose choice was it that you lived your young life exactly the way everyone told you to????
  14. Again, I am fine with my choices. But that does not mean that I don’t have eyes and ears.

  16. You can’t have it both ways. Either everyone’s to blame or no one’s to blame.
  17. That was very Yohamiesque of you. Heh I think Yohami has a future best pal in no time you will reach the triple digits without becoming bitter over what you have to do to get there. You know I abhor promiscuity with a fire of two thousand suns, but I know to choose between the lesser of two evils for you to become a dark triad borderline sociopath that pumps and dump and lies as a way to get back at women or a man that enjoys sex without expectations of a future but is always honest to women. I think the latter is preferable to the first.

  22. Susan, would you say that you had to be vigilant against your daughters instincts (not all of them, but some) or media that was being forced on her?
