  3. The MacBook Pro didn't need to get thinner, necessarily, but it would have been nice if the company had found a way to shave down the screen bezels. That rumor has been around for a while. Share on Facebook Tweet this Share After teasing that a was in the works back in 2017, Apple convened another reporter roundtable to clear up any misconceptions about the timeline — and to illustrate just what we should expect from the new and improved Mac Pro.
  4. Given how long its been since the previous update to the Mac Pro, it would be unwise for Apple to drive the asking price any higher. New Intel processor The MacBook Pro 2018 just got updated with , but unfortunately Intel released processors shortly afterward — putting the MacBook Pro behind the times yet again. All of which is to say that this can rightfully be expected to be a machine that is incredibly powerful.

Retailers are always running sales and promotions on different products, but hunting down the best deal can sometimes be difficult. My main work machine is a 2017 Retina 5K iMac, and new macbook pro 2019 I mainly use it for staples like writing and web browsing, I do occasionally take advantage of its horsepower while editing one of several of the podcasts I produce in Logic Pro. The 5K iMac has proved more than sufficient for my needs, and the iMac Pro would likely be comical overkill, given how much more power it brings to bear. And yet, it seems likely that the Mac Pro will be even a cut above that. All of which is to say that this can rightfully be expected to be a machine that is incredibly powerful. Way, way above the needs of most users. After all, Apple has to leave some room below it for both the iMac Pro and the 5K iMac to exist. This is despite the in the next few years—if that does happen, high performance machines like the Mac Pro would likely be the last to make the jump. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of the previous generation Mac Pro was that Apple let it lie fallow for so many years and that third-party upgrade paths for users were limited.
