STUFF I'VE ALREADY BEEN TOLD ABOUT
==============================================================================
This is just a quick list of things that are on my "to do" list. These have
already been brought to my attention, but I haven't had time to flesh out
exactly how they work (I personally check each vehicle and strategy in this
guide), or I haven't gotten that far in the story (I know, I'm taking a long
time). Names of the finder is in parentheses.
-All light blue vehicles from the Epsilon mission strand. (Tons of people)
-Maroon Frogger from that first FIB mission. (me; others confirmed)
-Pale Green Comet from a Trevor stranger mission. (Israel Diaz)
-Clown Van. (me)
-Blank plate Taxi in switch event at Franklin's new house. ()
-Blank plate Romero in a Trevor switch event. (Timcatgt)
-The Skylift in that one mission. (Tons of people)
-Stretch with unique plate in Meltdown. ()
-Unique plate vehicles in the Private Fare taxi missions. (Tons of people)
-Asea from the stranger mission. (Tons of people)
-Any obvious unlockable vehicle (like Space Docker). (Tons of people)
-Black unique plate Tornado in The Third Way. (Coen91; Arthur Heng to keep)
-Possible special color Felon in Pitchers' random mission. (fnxrak)
-"Stuck doors" Phoenix from a random event. (Arthur Heng)
-Merryweather Mesas in The Wrap Up. (Tons of people)
-Unique plate Vacca in The Wrap Up. (Arthur Heng; fnxrak for unique)
Also, the "Mariachi" Tornado in the border patrol stranger mission is NOT
special.

ABOUT
==============================================================================
This guide is to assist those players who enjoy collecting rare or unique
vehicles. This guide lists all known vehicles with some special property that
can only be obtained during missions. Although this game does have a mission
replay feature (similar to The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC for GTAIV), it creates a
discrete instance of a mission, as opposed to a world continuous with the main
game world, and as such, vehicles cannot be retrieved via this method, as no
data is saved after completing a mission replay (except for mission objective
completion).
I wrote this guide with the Xbox 360 version, not the PS3 version. I don't
know of any differences between the different versions, at least that affect
this guide, however I will include any information on known version
differences as best I can. If you notice a difference, such as a particular
strategy or glitch not working, contact me and let me know (be sure to mention
which version you're playing).
CAUTION! This guide may inadvertently contain spoilers of story missions!
While this guide's scope does not really involve spoiling anything, due to
what is required of it, it does possess a list of mission names at the very
minimum, which may have the potential to spoil parts of the game.

*1* GLOSSARY OF TERMS
==============================================================================
This is a glossary of all the special terms used in this guide.
------------------------------------------------------------
VEHICLE NAMES:
Make - The company that produced a vehicle. This is the first name listed in
a vehicle's full name when inside of a vehicle. Some examples are Declasse,
Karin, and Albany. Multiple vehicles can have the same make listed.
Model - This is the traditional GTA vehicle name, and is located after the
make, and followed by a comma and the class. This is all that was shown on
the screen when getting in vehicles in previous GTA games, and most models
should be easily recognizable for veteran GTA players.
Class - This is the class of the vehicle, such as sports, sedans, or service.
This is simply a reference to what type of vehicle it is, and may indicate
performance (e.g., a sports car will be expected to perform better than a
sedan, while being less resistant to damage). The class is listed last in a
vehicle's full name, following a comma after the model.
------------------------------------------------------------
[F] - This is used to denote a mission that Franklin participates in.
[M] - This is used to denote a mission that Michael participates in.
[T] - This is used to denote a mission that Trevor participates in.
Any combination of the three letters may appear in brackets, describing all
characters that participates in a given mission (e.g., [MT] means that both
Michael and Trevor are part of the mission). Which characters participate in
a mission is based on which character have their missions completed stat
increased by 1 after completion (e.g., Trevor isn't listed in the prologue,
because only Michael gets credit for that mission). [MFT] indicates that all
three characters participate, although in some select circumstances, only one
of the three actually plays the mission (but all 3 still get credit for it).
------------------------------------------------------------
Tags: These tags may be appended to the list of attributes of a vehicle, such
as mission, difficulty, and required resources. These denote certain specifics
of the vehicle, and will be preceeded by two asterisks (**).
**Complete mission: This vehicle requires completion of the mission to obtain,
and thus only one copy can be acquired normally.
**Post-mission: This vehicle exists only after the mission ends. While it is
technically not part of the mission, it is usually attached to a switch event
that specifically happens only immediately following the mission. Thus, it
is considered as part of the mission for the purposes of this guide.
**No interior garage: This vehicle can't be stored in an interior garage,
except by exploiting the trick in section 3.3.
**Persistent vehicle: A persistent vehicle is a vehicle that will always
respawn completely intact, including any modifications added to it. The
vehicles of the characters, such as Franklin's Buffalo and Michael's
Tailgater are persistent vehicles.
**LSC trick: This vehicle can be obtained from the mission by using the LSC
trick (outlined in section 3.4). Modify it during the mission at a LSC garage
and then finish the mission. It will be parked nearby. For some vehicles,
this is the only way to obtain them. For others, its simply another (possibly
easier) way.
------------------------------------------------------------
PL - Pearlescent color. This is simply an abbreviation for pearlescent used in
vehicle names, to conserve space and reduce length.
RGO - Regular garage only. These vehicles either have some property that will
disappear if saved in an interior garage, or cannot be stored in an interior
garage. They must be stored inside one of a character's safehouse garages.
The specifics of the requirement will be outlined in each vehicle's profile.
UJ - Unjackable. Vehicles with this property cannot be stolen or driven by
the player, even though there's no reason the character couldn't break the
window and get in. It's even more ridiculous when they refuse to get on a
motorcycle. Regardless, you're simply not going to be driving a UJ vehicle.
UW - Unequipped wheels. These vehicles do not have any wheels shown as
equipped when modding them, despite the fact they obviously do have wheels.
The wheels category in the LSC garage will default to Sport, although the
vehicle actually has the default wheels of its class (e.g., Canis Mesa, an
off-road vehicle, will have the default Off-Road wheels, although they will
not be shown as equipped).
Beater - An old, dilapidated vehicle. Rusty, damaged/broken windows and other
parts, engine problems. Not something you'd entrust your safety to in a
police chase or hectic situation.
Blank plate - A license plate that is blank, with nothing on it. These seem to
be found in vehicles that involve switching to another character after a
mission they take part in, or at point in the game. This will be denoted in
vehicle titles by the tag [Blank] at the start of the name.
Branded - A branded vehicle contains decals, markings, or other indications of
belonging to a particular business or brand. Unbranded means the opposite: a
lack of branding, usually on a vehicle that normally is branded.
Classic - Classic colors are just the color in question with a glossy finish.
The only difference between classic and metallic is that the latter has a
pearlescent finish to it.
Description - A description of unique color/feature vehicles and WHY they are
unique. Vehicles with a unique color will have a description of the colors
available that most closely resemble their actual colors.
Difficulty - A general summary of the relative difficulty, out of 5 stars. The
difficulty level assigned to a vehicle will be based on the easiest strategy
that requires the least of or no mission failures, deaths, arrests, and
cheats. The existence of strategies that utilize those things are usually
much easier than ones without (i.e., the difficulty of obtaining a vehicle
may be in getting it without failing a mission, possibly putting it at 3
stars, while just accepting the mission failure would make obtaining it a
1-star difficulty).
------------------------------
* Car is practically (or literally) given to player during and/or
after mission, or requires very little effort with no skill or luck.
------------------------------
** Car is readily available, but requires a little luck or a minimum of
effort to successfully obtain.
------------------------------
*** Car requires some determination and manipulation of the game to
acquire. Possibly a little luck.
------------------------------
**** Car is difficult to obtain, some luck may factor in, and requires a
keen knowledge of and skill at the game.
------------------------------
***** Car is extremely difficult to obtain; very luck-based, requires
difficult maneuvers to succeed, such as pushing to a parking spot
despite a wanted level.
------------------------------
********** There's no god here today. Just this vehicle.
------------------------------
Discovered by - This is not necessarily the first person to discover a
vehicle, but rather the first person to report it to me. I will add the
original discoverer if I'm able to determine who originally found it,
however.
Double-drive - Double-driving is used in some vehicle strategies. It involves
driving two vehicles at once back to your safehouse. One is the special
vehicle you're trying to obtain, the other is a vehicle some important person
from the mission is in, and if you go too far away, you will fail.
You essentially drive one car partway towards the destination, then get out
and drive the other a bit farther, and repeat ad nauseum. Slow, but
guaranteed to work, as long as you don't put too much distance between them.
You don't risk failing the mission, but rather the vehicle you're trying for
may vanish.
Equipped - This term denotes what features a vehicle is shown as having in the
customization garages. Normally, a vehicle will show its current features,
including colors, with an icon in place of the price on the list of options.
However, many special vehicles do not show any color on the list as the
current color, due to using a unique color not normally available.
Formulated by - This is who informed me of the strategy to obtain the vehicle.
Vehicles that were pointed out to be, but where I was given no strategy to
obtain it often lead to me developing the strategy, although most will have
the same entry for Discovered and Formulated by.
Jack - To jack a vehicle means to steal it. This is probably not a necessary
entry, but I figured I'd add it just in case.
LSC garage - Los Santos Customs garage. This is the vehicle modification
garage, where you... modify vehicles.
Metallic - Metallic paint is the same as the classic color, but has a
pearlescent layer on top of it that adds a "luster" to it. When metallic
paint is equipped on a vehicle, it will unlock the option to change the
pearlescent color. Each metallic color has a pearlescent shade to it.
Modded - This simply refers to a vehicle that has modifications already
installed. This can make vehicles from missions unique since it may offer
modifications for a vehicle before they are unlocked to be purchased
normally. A list of the non-stock modifications the car is equipped with
will be provided.
Most Recent Vehicle - This is a self-descriptive term. It refers to the last
vehicle a character was inside. Note that it only considers vehicles a
character was actually inside of and driving, not as a passenger. The vehicle
"driven" does not have to have been functional, so even stalled and damaged
vehicles will work, so long as the game allows a character to get inside.
Palette - The selection of colors a vehicle can be found in. Usually randomly
selected when a vehicle is created. Each vehicle in the game seems to have a
discrete catalog of colors in their palette, rather than randomly choosing
from the entire potential list of colors available during customization.
Pearlescent - Pearlescent paint is a "luster" that is applied on top of a
metallic paintjob. Only metallic colors have a pearlescent layer, and all
metallics will have the layer. Pearlescent paint is what makes metallic
colors different from their classic counterparts. Each metallic color has a
default pearlescent that accompanies it when purchased, but it will also
unlock the option to choose a different pearlescent. Pearlescent is only an
option for the primary color on a vehicle, and will be applied to the
secondary color as well (if one is present).
Persistent vehicle - These vehicles are character's personal vehicles in the
game. Persistent vehicles are so named because they will retain upgrades and
changes made to them even if you end up losing it somehow. They will also
always spawn in certain locations (such as outside a character's safehouses).
These vehicles cannot be stored in interior garages, despite most being able
to fit.
Plate - An easier way of saying license plate. Usually only used in the
context of unique license plates. Normal "random" license plates follow the
format of 2:3:3 letters, numbers, letters. Several unique plates follow this
format, and are only classified as unique because it always has the same
combination, rather than a random one.
Random - Denotes a property that is randomized on a vehicle, such as color.
Rare - This is used in the guide to denote an "unlockable" vehicle.
Refresh - When a vehicle is refreshed, it refers to the ability of a garage to
"reset" the vehicle, repairing all damage, removing extraneous properties
(such as some of those found in the UJ vehicles section), and removing the UJ
property from a vehicle. When a vehicle is in a garage, refreshing happens
if the game is saved and loaded, or if the player travels far enough away
from the garage before returning. Certain other things can trigger a refresh,
as well.
Set plate - A license plate that follows the normal randomly-generated format,
but is always set to the same thing. Not quite a truly unique plate, since in
theory it could be randomly generated, but still worthy of note.
Special (color) - A special color is one that does not exist in the color
menu during customization, which means the vehicle in question cannot be
replicated by customizing. A special colored vehicle's description will try
to explain which colors are the closest approximation of the actual color,
and in what way the special color is unique.
Most "Special" colored vehicles have a color that is extremel close to an
existing color or colors, though, and barely look different. There are few
monumentally different "special" colors available.
Switch event - These are the various situations a character will appear in
when switching to them, usually after a mission, a new day, an autosave, or
anything else that would recalculate their position. Most are just mundane
things, like exiting a store or waking up, severely hung over, on a rooftop
with no ladder down. However, some switch events are one-time special
situations that may contain a special vehicle.
Unique - This vehicle is unique and found in story missions only, or other
limited-time availability missions, and thus can be missed altogether.
Unique plate - A vehicle with a license plate that does not follow the format
for randomly-generated plates. This will be denoted in vehicle titles by the
tag [Unique] at the start of the name.
Unlockable - This term in my guide denotes a vehicle that is only infinitely
available either through story missions and/or by unlocking it at some point
through the story, whether by completing a mission, finishing a side mission,
or even a vehicle that is only available during a side mission, but is
repeatedly available by doing the mission over and over at your leisure.
Unobtainable - A vehicle that, for whatever reason, cannot be obtained and/or
stored with its properties. In GTAV, most UJ vehicles are unobtainable due to
being unable to get them to a garage (and in some cases, unable to store them
in an interior garage).
==============================================================================
*2* SAFEHOUSES AND GARAGES
==============================================================================
These are places to store your vehicles. There are two types of garages:
small, single-car garages, like in classic GTA games, and large, indoor
garages that can store multiple vehicles and are an interior.
NOTE: Throughout the storyline, sometimes certain safehouses become
unavailable temporarily or permanently. With the exception of Michael's
house, any safehouse that is lost WILL DELETE ALL VEHICLES CONTAINED WITHIN
THE GARAGE. Move vehicles out of the garage before losing the safehouse to
keep vehicles. The impound lot can provide a quick, temporary storage method
for one or both vehicles in these garages, so long as you're careful to get
them out ASAP and not replace them with other vehicles.
SAFEHOUSE GARAGES:
-Can hold 1-2 vehicles each, depending on size
-Hard limit is 2 vehicles (beyond this, vehicles start disappearing)
-Part of the game world
-Found at each character's safehouse
INTERIOR GARAGES:
-Can hold 4 vehicles
-Separate interior, with vehicles automatically aligned
-Unique for each character
-Will not hold certain vehicles (primarily vehicles too large to fit in the
characters' normal-sized safehouse garages). A glitch mentioned in section
3.3 can be used to put any vehicle inside, though.
-Allows access to DLC vehicles (and contains an infinite supply of them)
All garages are unique for the character listed, meaning other characters
cannot access them. Additionally, garages will only repair vehicles if enough
time has passed, or if the game is saved and then loaded. Repairs are not
instant, as in previous GTA games.
Unlike other open-world games, all garages only store one copy of vehicles.
If you take a vehicle out of the garage and lose it, it will be gone forever.
Make sure to always return your vehicles to the garage after use. However,
the vehicles can often be found at the impound lot is lost during a mission or
abandoned on the street. The impound only stores 2 vehicles, though; any
previous ones are lost forever. Getting a car out of impound costs $250.
Capacity listed for safehouse garages is relative, with the actual capacity
depending on the vehicles that are stored. If all entrances to a vehicle are
blocked, the vehicle cannot be entered. If all entrances to all vehicles are
blocked, the garage is effectively clogged, and can only be cleared by blowing
up some or all of the vehicles inside.
------------------------------------------------
FRANKLIN'S GARAGES:
------------------------------------------------
INTERIOR: Grove Street Garage, Grove St., Davis
----------
SAFEHOUSE 1: Franklin's House, Forum Dr., Strawberry
==Available after Franklin and Lamar
==LOST AFTER HOTEL ASSASSINATION
Relative capacity: 1 car + 1 motorcycle
A medium-sized garage that isn't deep. It can only fit one car, and if it's
on the smaller end, a motorcycle can also fit beside it. Two motorcycles would
fit easily.
NOTE: Remove any vehicles stored within the garage before completing the
mission "Hotel Assassination" for Lester. Anything in the garage after the
mission will be lost forever!
----------
SAFEHOUSE 2: Investment Property, Whispymound Dr., Vinewood Hills
==Available after Hotel Assassination
Relative capacity: 2 medium cars
A wider garage, similar to Michael's, but with a much lower clearance. Two
cars can fit in easily, but there isn't much depth.
------------------------------------------------
MICHAEL'S GARAGES:
------------------------------------------------
INTERIOR: Vinewood Garage, Spanish Ave., West Vinewood
----------
SAFEHOUSE 1: Michael's House, West Eclipse Blvd., Rockford Hills
==Available after Complications
==Temporarily lost after Caida Libre
==Regained after Monkey Business
Relative capacity: 2 cars (1 large, 1 small)
This is a large garage with a lot of space. It can even fit vehicles like the
Towtruck. Take advantage of this one to store some of the bigger vehicles.
NOTE: Although Michael temporarily loses access to his safehouse during the
storyline, the vehicles stored in the garage are safe and will be available
again after regaining access following Monkey Business.
----------
SAFEHOUSE 2: Trevor's Trailer, Marina Ave., Sandy Shores
==Available after Caida Libre
==Lost after Monkey Business
Relative capacity: 1 large car or 2 motorcycles
The garage is a standard garage, about able to fit a large van. It is deep,
so adding a motorcycle in behind another vehicle may be possible.
NOTE: After finishing Caida Libre, Michael gains access to Trevor's trailer
as a safehouse. He also gains access to the garage, however he and Trevor will
share the garage space. They don't each get to store two vehicles.
------------------------------------------------
TREVOR'S GARAGES:
------------------------------------------------
INTERIOR: Pillbox Hill Garage, Adam's Apple Blvd., Pillbox Hill
----------
SAFEHOUSE 1: Trevor's Trailer, Marina Ave., Sandy Shores
==Available after Mr. Philips
Relative capacity: 1 large car or 2 motorcycles
The garage is a standard garage, about able to fit a large van. It is deep,
so adding a motorcycle in behind another vehicle may be possible.
----------
SAFEHOUSE 2: Floyd's House, Magellan Ave., La Puerta
==Available after Friends Reunited
==LOST AFTER CAIDA LIBRE
Relative capacity: 2 large cars (or even trucks)
Regarding Floyd's "garage," it is actually a parking spot, similar to GTAIV.
Vehicles parked in the area surrounding the blue tarp underneath the overhang
near Floyd's apartment will be stored, despite not being an actual garage. As
with other safehouse storage, up to two vehicles can be stored. Even large
vehicles, such as the tractor cab JoBuilt Phantom, can be fit by creatively
maneuvering as much of the vehicle as possible close to the blue tarp, which
seems to be the focal point of the parking spot.
All characters have access to the parking spot, as well, and can both see
vehicles parked there as well as park vehicles there. This makes trading
vehicles between characters very easy, at least for the duration the game
grants access to this safehouse.
(Thanks to Arthur Heng for helping me figure out how this space works!)
NOTE: After completing Caida Libre, this safehouse and its garage is lost
for the remainder of the game. Any vehicles stored in the parking spot will be
lost forever at this point.
----------
SAFEHOUSE 3: Vanilla Unicorn, Elgin Ave., Strawberry
==Available after Hang Ten
Relative capacity: 2 large cars (or even trucks)
The Vanilla Unicorn has a parking zone similar to Floyd's house. The specific
parking zone is along the east side of the building, encompassing the several
parking spots with standards against the wall. Although only two vehicles
will be saved at a time, it can fit even large vehicles.
Also similar to Floyd's house is that Michael and Franklin can see and use
any vehicles parked in the spot. However, unlike Floyd's house, only vehicles
parked by Trevor will be saved, reducing the utility the spot provides.
==============================================================================
*3* OTHER INFORMATION AND TECHNIQUES FOR ACQUIRING VEHICLES
==============================================================================
This section explains various things that won't fit elsewhere in the guide.
-----------------------------------------------
3.1 - Major changes from GTAIV
-----------------------------------------------
Several things have changed with regards to vehicle hunting between GTAIV and
GTAV. This is a quick list.
-Failing missions are no longer recorded as a statistic, leaving no "proof" of
failing a mission beyond owning a vehicle that requires it.
-Garages return from classic GTA, and replace parking spots as a means of
vehicle storage. There are also large interior garages that can save 4
vehicles very reliably, but will sometimes not allow certain vehicles (such as
the characters' personal vehicles) to enter. A glitch detailed in section 3.3
describes how to put any vehicle into the interior garages.
-Most UJ vehicles are unobtainable, but some can be pushed or towed into a
character's safehouse garage to obtain them.
-Each character's garages are separate, however it is possible to
"transfer" a vehicle from one character to another by maneuvering two
characters close to each other, then having one get out of the vehicle and
switching to the other, and taking the vehicle. Otherwise, each character's
special vehicle selection is limited to what is found in their missions.
-"Lustered" vehicles are now pearlescents. Pearlescent is a secondary color
that is applied on top of any metallic color (and only metallics). In fact,
pearlescent is the only difference between a metallic color, and its classic
counterpart. The menu option to respray a vehicle as pearlescent is only
available if a metallic paintjob is applied as the primary color. Due to how
the game works with what color is "equipped" as the primary color, it is
possible to recreate any combination of normal and pearlescent colors and have
the result be identical to a seemingly-unique pearlescent vehicle found in a
mission.
-----------------------------------------------
3.2 - Character-switch vehicle retrieval
-----------------------------------------------
Often you will encounter a vehicle that cannot be parked in a safehouse for
some reason, even though you are able to get inside. However, it may be
possible to obtain it so long as you are able to switch to a different
character. Get inside, then switch to someone else. Waste some time, then
switch back to the previous character. If successful, they will either be
driving the vehicle in question, or it will be parked nearby. This can be used
to restart vehicles that have stalled, or become stuck in an irrevocable
position (such as wedged in between obstacles).
A character not currently in use will return to their default vehicle at
midnight of a new day, however, so make sure not to spend too much time on
someone else.
-----------------------------------------------
3.3 - Storing any vehicle inside interior garages!

This is surprisingly simple. To store vehicles in interior garages that
normally can't be stored there, drive close to the garage door and park so
the driver's side door of the vehicle is as close to the garage as possible.
Then, get out, and when the prompt to enter the garage on foot comes up, get
back inside. As soon as the character finishes getting inside, press the
button to enter the garage.
If done correctly, the vehicle will be stored inside the garage! This does not
seem to have any consequences, even for storing larger vehicles, and can make
safely storing vehicles much easier. If the button is pressed too early, the
character will enter his garage without the vehicle. Exiting without choosing
a vehicle will allow another chance, as the vehicle will still be sittng
outside, either next to the garage door, or parked in a nearby parking space.
You can also obtain multiple copies of the character's special vehicles (the
persistent ones) with this trick. If a persistent vehicle is stored in an
interior garage using this method, it becomes "disconnected" from the
persistent version of the vehicle. It will become like a normal car, with
upgrades isolated to just that specific copy of the vehicle. It can also be
stored in interior garages normally afterwards. The persistent vehicle will
also still spawn normally at the character's safehouse, so you'll just have
an additional copy of it.
Note that this glitch does not allow you to store a vehicle during a mission,
or to exceed the four-vehicle capacity of the garage. Even the largest
vehicles, such as tractor cabs and buses, will fit without issue.
-----------------------------------------------
3.4 - Saving certain vehicles from missions (LSC trick)
-----------------------------------------------
Courtesy of fnxrak (discovery) Arthur Heng (exploiting it)!
This is a simple trick that can allow you to obtain various vehicles featured
in missions. It only applies to vehicles that can actually be driven during
the mission, though.
Once inside the vehicle of choice, go to an LSC garage. Enter and modify the
vehicle in some way. This will set it as the "active" vehicle for that
character, and it will appear parked nearby after the mission ends, even if
its a mission-important vehicle. However, sometimes the vehicle in question
will be impounded instead; in that case, just go to the impound lot and pay to
get it out of impound. Don't forget about it!
Some missions result in a message stating that LSC is closed. This trick
cannot be used in such missions, for obvious reasons.
-----------------------------------------------
3.5 - Duplicating vehicles
-----------------------------------------------
Courtesy of StuntmanSnake!
You just do the thing where one vehicle becomes two! You know, mitosis.
(it actually involves getting in a vehicle in a safehouse garage, then getting
out and switching characters just as their feet both hit the ground. I'll
make a more detailed description once I test it more.)
-----------------------------------------------
3.6 - Snowy vehicles
-----------------------------------------------
This section was created to save multiple vehicle entries that are all
unobtainable and similar.
Vehicles in North Yankton are special "snowy" versions, covered in - you
guessed it - snow! No doubt a result of the more northern climate of North
Yankton compared to the normally balmy San Andreas weather, these cars are
actually special versions of their respective vehicles. However, as an
inevitable result of their existence only in North Yankton, they are all
unobtainable.
However, North Yankton is only visited in two missions: Prologue, and Bury the
Hatchet, and only the latter allows any real minimum of exploration. In
addition, Bury the Hatchet only shows these vehicles if Michael is the one to
start the mission; starting as Trevor bypasses the whole driving scene.
Aside from having a special snowy texture, these vehicles also have "Yankton"
state license plates, as opposed to the San Andreas state plates of Los Santos
and Blaine County.
Vehicles seen during "Prologue":
-Police Roadcruiser, Emergency (North Yankton state police livery)
-Police Rancher (North Yankton state police livery)
-Brute Stockade, Commercial ("Bobcat" livery)
-Albany Emperor, Sedans
-Declasse Rancher XL, Off-Road
-Stanley Fieldmaster, Utility
Vehicles seen during "Bury the Hatchet":
-Declasse Asea, Sedans (also a unique vehicle in and of itself)
-Vapid Sadler, Utility
-Albany Emperor, Sedans
-Declasse Rancher XL, Off-Road
-Canis Mesa, SUVs
-Declasse Burrito, Vans
NOTE: I fully expect someone to discover some esoteric glitch that allows one
(or more) of these vehicles to be brought back to Los Santos somehow. This
will probably happen 3-4 years after the game's release. There, my prediction
is here for all the world to see. Bow before your prophet!
==============================================================================
*4* UNIQUE VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles only appear during story missions, and once the game is
completed, cannot be acquired without cheating. Unique vehicles are denoted by
having a unique vehicle name not found elsewhere. Unique versions of existing
vehicles are found under specially colored/featured vehicles.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.1 - Unobtainable Cargo Plane, Planes (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Minor Turbulence [T] (Michael)
Discovered by: Many people
----------------------------------------
Description: A massive cargo transport aircraft, this is a huge vehicle and
handles like one. During the section of the mission with the military escort,
the LAZERs practically can fly circles around this. It's honestly a mystery as
to why (and how) Trevor thought this could possibly fit on his tiny airstrip
in Grapeseed.
----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: The plane is part of the mission and obviously vanishes if the
mission is failed. Completing the mission sees it plummet into the Alamo Sea.
Even if it could somehow be taken to a hangar, there's no chance it could
possibly fit inside.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.2 - "Merryweather" Canis Mesa, Off-Road
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Minor Turbulence [T] (Michael)
Difficulty: *****
Required: Pushing vehicle, patience, and luck
Discovered by: Many people
**Complete mission
----------------------------------------
Description: The Merryweather Off-Road Canis Mesa is heavily-modified with
large off-road tires. Used exclusively by the "security consulting" company,
this Mesa is quite unique and even classified differently than the normal
Mesa, which is an SUV and not Off-Road vehicle.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: After the air force critically damages the Cargo Plane, Trevor will
bail out, and has the option to drive this out of the cargo bay instead. Once
he does, he'll have to bail or else the Mesa will explode when it hits the
ground and kill him. But since this will usually land close to Trevor's Sandy
Shores safehouse, it is possible to parachute down safely and get a vehicle to
push this to the garage at that safehouse. With a lot of luck and a vehicle to
prop open the garage door, it can be pushed inside and will, hopefully, be
resurrected by the garage. This can take a lot of luck, though, and the garage
is prone to causing the vehicle to just vanish instead of reviving it. Unless
you REALLY want this one, just get one from a later mission.
<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.3 - Unobtainable "Merryweather" Canis Mesa, Off-Road
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Derailed [MT] (Trevor)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
----------------------------------------
Description: A unique version of the Canis Mesa, classified as Off-Road instead
of an SUV, and with numerous unique body modifications. This one is black in
color.
----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: Trevor and Michael encounter this while escaping the wreckage
in the Dinghy. As the controls are locked to the boat at this time, it is
impossible to get out and obtain it, and it would likely vanish even after the
mission ends.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.4 - Unobtainable Declasse Asea, Sedans (snowy)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Bury the Hatchet [MT] (Michael)
Discovered by: Many people
Unique license plate: [LB080984]
----------------------------------------
Description: This is a somewhat compact little sedan that is as rare as it
is... mediocre. Nothing particularly stands out, yet it is only found in two
places, one of which is this unobtainable snowy version. Note that to see this
vehicle, YOU MUST START THE MISSION AS MICHAEL. Starting as Trevor bypasses
the while driving scene, and this this vehicle won't be seen (along with the
other snowy vehicles). It also has a unique license plate, for what little
that matters next to the mountain of other unique things.
----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: Michael uses this car during the North Yankton segment of the
mission. As it is in North Yankton, there is no way to retrieve it for return
to San Andreas (barring some esoteric glitch that someone will no doubt find
a few years after release).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.s1 - Unobtainable Cargo Plane, Planes (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Franklin): Liquidity Risk (Dom)
Discovered by: Many people
----------------------------------------
Description: A massive cargo transport aircraft, this is a huge vehicle and
handles like one. Not that you get to fly it in this mission, but you should
remember from Minor Turbulence. I doubt many advances in aviation have been
made in the couple of in-game weeks since then.
----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: The plane is part of the mission and is already taking off on
the runway, leaving no chance to obtain it. And unlike Trevor in Minor
Turbulence, you don't even have the luxury of commandeering it. You just
drive a Blazer out the back like a straight busta.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
*5* UNIQUE/BLANK LICENSE PLATE VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles all have a unique or blank license plate, making them special
(and very visibly so). They may or may not also have a special color or
feature that is similarly unique, and if so, it will be noted as well. These
vehicles are special because they cannot be found outside of the mission(s)
where they are present.
Descriptions will be provided, listing exactly why and how the vehicle is
special. Colors on vehicles that cannot be customized are approximated.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.1 - [Blank] UW Black Canis Mesa (1st of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Complications [MF] (Simeon)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: A metallic black Canis Mesa with a random pearlescent color and
an uncovered back. The license plate is blank, and it doesn't show any wheels
as equipped, even though it has Off-Road default wheels.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This can be found by switching to Franklin immediately after
completing the mission. Once in control of him, head north, and this will be
parked alongside the road. Note that this vehicle is spawned by the switch
event with Franklin talking to Lamar on the phone, and if Michael gets too
close to the location of the event, it will prevent the event from happening.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.2 - [Blank] Taxi (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Father/Son [MF] (Michael)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: StuntmanSnake / Lancet Jades (easier strategy)
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: A plain, ordinary taxi that just happens to have a blank license
plate. The taxi does not seem to have a Taxi light on the roof.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: The only way to obtain this is to switch to Michael shortly after
finishing the mission. He will be getting out of the taxi. Quickly get inside
and take it to a garage. Alternatively, loading an autosave from immediately
after the mission seems to generate a random Michael switch event, with this
Taxi as his active vehicle, making it that much easier to obtain.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.3 - [Unique] Red Nagasaki Blazer
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Nervous Ron [T] (Trevor)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Skellington87
Unique license plate: [TPI1000]
----------------------------------------
Description: Trevor's red quadbike with a unique license plate. The plate hints
that this is a vehicle in service to Trevor Philips Industries.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Keeping this bike is as simple as getting on at the start of the
mission and driving to the airfield southwest of the start location. This will
fail the mission. Choose to exit, and Trevor will still be riding this quad
after the mission ends.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.4 - [Blank] Black JoBuilt Phantom
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Fame or Shame [MT] (Michael)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
**Post-mission
**No interior garage
----------------------------------------
Description: A large Phantom tractor cab with a blank plate. Nothing very
remarkable, plate aside.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: After the mission ends, you'll be controlling Michael. Switch to
Trevor, and he'll be driving this vehicle. It is presumably the same Phantom
from the mission, but with a blanked license plate. Use the trick in section
3.3 to store it in Trevor's interior garage. It can technically be stored in
Floyd's parking spot, but since that is lost forever at a certain point in the
story, it is not a permanent solution, and there will be a period of time
where no suitable safehouse garage exists to store this.
<<Formulated by: Arthur Heng>>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.5 - [Blank] Black Vapid Sadler
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Hood Safari [FT] (Franklin)
Difficulty: *
Required: Start or finish mission as Trevor (without failures)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: A metallic black Sadler with a random pearlescent and a blank
plate. Nothing else is particularly memorable about the vehicle, including the
slow acceleration and clunky handling.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: If the mission either begins or ends with Trevor (or both), and you
have NOT failed the mission and kept going, switching to the other character
after the mission ends will find him taking cover in a cylindrical structure
that is under construction near the southern docks. This will be parked
nearby, slightly to the east. Just get inside and drive to a garage. The last
chance to switch characters during the mission is during the second part of
the Seashark chase, where the trio is heading southeast under bridges. Once
the "Lose the Cops" objective appears, you're locked into whoever you're
controlling.
----------------------------------------
NOTE: This is mutually exclusive with 5.6 - Black Canis Mesa w/ blank plate
and 5.7 - Drumless Black HVY Mixer. As they appear after the mission, only one
of the three can be obtained.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.6 - [Blank] UW Black Canis Mesa (2nd of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Hood Safari [FT] (Franklin)
Difficulty: *
Required: Start and finish as Franklin
Discovered by: Timcatgt
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: A metallic black Mesa that has a blank license plate and a random
pearlescent color. Seems to be the same one as seen after Complications if
switching to Franklin, as it always spawns without the fully-closed back. The
wheels also don't show as equipped, as with the previous one.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: If the mission starts and ends as Franklin, switching to Trevor will
find him taking cover behind a concrete wall bordering a road near the
southern docks. This will be parked nearby, slightly to the west. Just get
inside and drive to a garage. The last chance to switch to Franklin during the
mission is during the second part of the Seashark chase, where the trio is
heading southeast under bridges. Once the "Lose the Cops" objective appears,
you're locked into whoever you're controlling.
----------------------------------------
NOTE: This is mutually exclusive with 5.5 - Black Vapid Sadler w/ blank plate
and 5.7 - Drumless Black HVY Mixer. As they appear after the mission, only one
of the three can be obtained.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.7 - [Blank] Drumless Black HVY Mixer
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Hood Safari [FT] (Franklin)
Difficulty: *
Required: Start and finish as Trevor; fail mission at least once (but don't
exit the missio)
Discovered by: Timcatgt (Columbo for confirming)
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: This is quite a unique Mixer, as it is missing the mixing drum!
Everything but the drum is present, so it looks like the drum was just deleted
off of the vehicle. The color is black and the plate is blank, as well. An odd
vehicle that any collector should consider!
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: To cause this to appear, you must start AND finish the mission as
Trevor. In addition, the mission must be failed at least once (die, get
busted, or fail some objective). After finishing the mission, switch back to
Franklin and he will be slightly northwest of where he would normally be after
the mission. Head northeast and you'll find this on the north side of the
building. Once it is in sight, the rather unique appearance will be easy to
notice. You can play as Franklin during most of the mission, so long as it
ends as Trevor.
<<Formulated by: Timcatgt and Columbo>>
----------------------------------------
NOTE: This is mutually exclusive with 5.5 - Black Vapid Sadler w/ blank plate
and 5.6 - Black Canis Mesa w/ blank plate. As they appear after the mission,
only one of the three can be obtained.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.8 - [Unique] Brown Towtruck
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Scouting the Port [T] (Trevor)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [5T3ALM3]
----------------------------------------
Description: This is a rusty brown Towtruck (similar to JB's Towtruck) with a
unique plate that is somewhat out of place, given that there is no reason in
this mission for it to exist. Interestingly, the license plate seems to spell
out "STEALME," with numbers substituted for some letters.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is parked outside the drydock to the right after Trevor
acquires the briefcase of manifests and Floyd gets his ass kicked. Get inside
and drive to the mission destination. After the mission ends, this will be
waiting outside. Unfortunately, Trevor doesn't have a garage that can fit
this, so arrange an impromptu meeting between Trevor and Michael, let Michael
take the Towtruck, then park it in his safehouse garage. Or you could store it
in Trevor's interior garage using the trick in section 3.3

5.9 - [Unique] Orange Overflod Entity XF
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: I Fought the Law... [MFT] (Devin)
Difficulty: *
Required: A little money (also mission failure for this + car 5.11)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [MKB652]
**LSC trick
----------------------------------------
Description: This is a metallic orange Entity XF with black trim and a unique
license plate. Driven by one of the targets in the mission, this car is truly
a sight to behold and a pinnacle of performance.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Obtaining this vehicle is as simple as using the LSC trick. Take
the car to a LSC garage before finishing the mission and apply a modification.
Then, complete the mission. Afterwards, this will be waiting in the police
impound lot. Spend the money to get it out and it's yours! Note that doing
this may make the mission's time requirement difficult to meet, as this
mission does not give a lot of spare time due to the expected top speed you're
supposed to spend most of the mission at.
----------------------------------------
(For both this and car 5.10)
STRATEGY 2: To acquire both this and the blue Cheetah in the same mission,
proceed with the first strategy up until the other characters arrive at the
destination garage. Do the LSC trick on this vehicle, then get in another
vehicle and drive away. You'll fail the mission for abandoning the vehicle.
Exit the mission and go retrieve it from impound, then replay the mission and
do the LSC trick on the other.

STRATEGY 1: After finishing the mission, switch to Trevor. He will be standing
on a sidewalk in Mission Row. Head east along the sidewalk and look up what
appears to be a street (but isn't). This will be parked in the middle of the
glorified parking lot. Just take it and drive to a garage.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: To obtain both this and 5.11 - Special Black Dinka Blista, make
sure to complete "Hotel Assassination" prior to this mission. Switch to Trevor
and get inside the Peote, then switch to Franklin. With luck, it will trigger
a switch event with him in his Vinewood house, which will then place the
Blista outside his house. Put it in his garage, and then switch back to Trevor
and place the Peyote in a garage as well.

------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the vehicle used by the victim in this event. After killing
the first two bikers, he will run to it. Proceed to kill the biker's
reinforcements, then the mission will end with the victim getting inside

plate. The taxi has no light on the roof.
--------------------
Availability: Randomly occurs when switching to Franklin, or loading an
autosave with Franklin as the active character. This event will no longer
occur once the mission Mr. Philips is complete. This event consists of
Franklin having a conversation with Tanisha in his aunt's safehouse. After the
conversation ends, she will leave the safehouse and drive off in this Taxi.
--------------------
STRATEGY 1 (requires online access): This can only be done before finishing
the mission Complications. First, to trigger the event, make sure the most
recent save file is the one you want to obtain this on. Enter GTA:O and start
a session. Then, return to single player. With luck, this event will trigger.
Once it has triggered, pursue the Taxi in Franklin's Buffalo and pull in
front. Force the driver from the vehicle, either by shooting or by ramming it
repeatedly. Once he's out, attempt to enter the Taxi. You will fail because it
is UJ. Now, switch back to GTA:O (you can do this via the character switch
wheel; select the bottom slot). Once in, return once again to single player
(easily doable via the character wheel again). If done correctly, the Taxi
should be parked nearby, unlocked.
<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>
--------------------
STRATEGY 2: Get in a Towtruck (easily found outside the LSC garage near the
Airport) to mark it as your "active" vehicle. Now, trigger an autosave as
Franklin, and load that save. With luck, it will load the event, and the
Towtruck will be waiting outside Franklin's house. Get inside and chase after
the Taxi, and after catching it, hook it up. Tow it to a garage, and maneuver
it inside to store. Then you can save and load the game to refresh it and
make it usable, or drive far enough away and return.

5.x2 - [Unique] Garnet Red Pegassi Faggio
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Switch event: Scooter Brother [T]
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [BETTY 32]
--------------------
Description: A red Faggio with a unique license plate. Given that it is garnet
red and has the same plate as Trevor's Bodhi truck, it can be assumed that
this scooter belongs to Trevor, and was not just appropriated from some poor
guy (at least recently).
--------------------
Availability: Randomly occurs when switching to Trevor, or loading an autosave
with Trevor as the active character. It will only occur after finishing
Friends Reunited (when Trevor officially moves to Los Santos), and will place
Trevor on one of the highways leading out of Los Santos.
--------------------
STRATEGY: Trevor is riding this vehicle during the event. Once you notice the
distinctive "scooter brother" situation, turn around and drive it to a garage.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.x3 - [Blank] "Lost" Declasse Gang Burrito
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Switch event: Lost - Off the Bridge [T]
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
**No interior garage
--------------------
Description: This is a Gang Burrito with the usual Lost biker gang livery. The
big difference is this one has a blank license plate, and it can actually be
saved in a garage unlike many appearances of this van.
--------------------
Availability: Randomly occurs when switching to Trevor, or loading an autosave
with Trevor as the active character. It will only occur after finishing
Friends Reunited (when Trevor officially moves to Los Santos), and will place
Trevor on a bridge in Los Santos, teaching a Lost biker how to fly.
--------------------
STRATEGY: After the event ends, this Gang Burrito will be parked on the road
nearby. Get inside and drive it to Trevor's trailer garage in Sandy Shores.
Alternatively, you can store it in Trevor's interior garage using the trick in
section 3.3.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
*6* SPECIALLY COLORED/FEATURED VEHICLES
==============================================================================
This section lists all vehicles that have a special color or feature that
cannot be normally obtained, thus making them "special" vehicles, that do NOT
have a unique or blank license plate.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.1 - Special Orange Bravado Bison
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Repossession [F] (Simeon)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
**LSC trick
----------------------------------------
Description: This is a bright orange Bison, not to be confused with the actual
"bright orange" color. The actual color is somewhere in between classic orange
and bright orange, and cannot be replicated with any existing color. It also
has unique lighting effects and what appears to be a bright white pearlescent
coloring.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Once you reach the alley, run to the Bison and get in. The mission
will fail once the window is broken. Choose to exit the mission, and Franklin
will still be inside the truck (or standing right outside). Drive it to a
garage. Sometimes this will not work, and the Bison will vanish after exiting
the mission, but if so, just try again. This should be your go-to strategy
unless you're really stuck-up about never ever failing a mission, ever.
----------------------------------------
(This strategy is for 360 players to obtain without mission failure)
STRATEGY 2: Once the Vagos have been killed and the objective to catch the
bike is displayed, get inside the Bison instead of leaving the alley. Use the
Bison to knock the driver off the bike, and Lamar will drive it back to the
meeting point. Once you've taken the bike there, it will be parked nearby. It
is important that the biker is allowed to escape and that Lamar gets inside
before killing the biker in order for this to be obtainable! If the biker is
killed BEFORE Lamar gets inside the truck, it will be UJ after finishing the
mission. Still technically obtainable, but needlessly difficult.
<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades (lol232, fnxrak for the details)>>
----------------------------------------
(This strategy is for PS3 players to obtain without mission failure)
STRATEGY 3: This vehicle is a bit harder to obtain without mission failure on
PS3. Using the above strategy won't work because the Bison won't be at the car
wash in the PS3 version. Proceed with the mission until all the Vagos are
dead. Once they are, quickly run to the entrance of the alley. The target will
appear for a moment before driving off. Shoot him off the bike at this moment.
Once the objective appears to drive the bike back to the car wash, go get the
Bison. Now, you must double-drive this and the Bagger to a LSC garage. Modify
the Bison, then drive the bike to the destination and finish the mission.
Afterwards, the Bison will be waiting in the police impound lot.
<<Formulated by: StuntmanSnake>>
----------------------------------------
NOTE: It has been reported that strategy 3 is unnecessary for many people,
even on the PS3 version. Try it if strategy 2 doesn't work, but sometimes it
is a matter of not killing the biker too quickly. Letting him survive a little
while seems to solve the problem of the Bison vanishing, and killing him
before he drives off may stop that from working on PS3 altogether.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.2 - Special Yellow Karin BeeJay XL w/ set plate
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Complications [MF] (Simeon)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: StuntmanSnake
Set license plate: [57EIG117]
**Complete mission
----------------------------------------
Description: Jimmy's SUV, purchased from Simeon during the ending cutscene of
Franklin and Lamar. Its color is unique, being somewhere between classic
yellow and classic race yellow, with different lighting. This is the same
BeeJay XL that is found after this mission, however this one differs by having
a set license plate (the same one seen during the mission).
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This will be found in the showroom immediately after the mission
ends. If this is not taken immediately (before leaving the area), it will lose
its unique license plate and become vehicle 6.3.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.3 - Special Yellow Karin BeeJay XL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: After Complications [MF] (Simeon), before Father/Son [MF] (Michael)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: Jimmy's SUV, purchased from Simeon during the ending cutscene of
Franklin and Lamar. Its color is unique, being somewhere between classic
yellow and classic race yellow, with different lighting.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: After finishing the mission, leave the BeeJay XL in the car
dealership and go do something else (or load an autosave made after the
mission). When you return, the vehicle will still be there, but will no
longer have a unique license plate. This vehicle will stay in the dealership
until either you have passed Father/Son, or a character enters the vehicle
(whether they actually take it or not).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.4 - RGO Red PL Roof Matte Yellow Karin BeeJay XL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: After Complications [MF] (Simeon), before Father/Son [MF] (Michael);
or after Father/Son and before Mr. Philips via an exploit
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
**Post-mission
----------------------------------------
Description: Sitting in Simeon's car dealership after the mission, this is a
matte yellow BeeJay XL with a classic dark steel secondary color. The primary
color is not equipped, despite being exactly the same as matte yellow. The
roof (which is the secondary color) has a red pearlescent color to it, which
is very unique considering that it only affects the secondary color, not the
primary.
----------------------------------------
RGO reason: The red pearlescent on the secondary color will disappear if saved
inside an interior garage. Additionally, choosing to respray the primary color
during customization will also remove the pearlescent (although the secondary
color can be changed if desired).
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: After finishing the mission, there will be vehicles inside the
dealership. These will continually appear until finishing Father/Son. This is
the BeeJay XL farthest inside the dealership. However, initially upon
finishing the mission, this will be a red BeeJay XL. Load an autosave from
after the mission, or drive a distance away and back, and it will now be
replaced with this vehicle. This will continue to respawn no matter how many
are taken.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: This can be obtained after Father/Son by exploiting the game's
imperfect loading of non-static obstacles. It is recommended to use Franklin
to exploit his special ability for avoiding traffic. Drive down Adams Apple
Blvd. (the street that Trevor's interior garage is on) to the west, towards
the freeway overpass. After crossing underneath, the road ahead will look like
a bridge. At this point, turn around and drive back towards the dealership.
Drive at high speed towards the wooden cover in the corner where Franklin
crashed the SUV in Complications.
What should happen is the game will load a placeholder graphic for the wood,
then remove it for a split second before replacing it with the actual solid
obstacle. During this window of opportunity, you are able to drive inside and
claim this vehicle. If the wood fully loads, just drive away and try again.
If playing on an Xbox 360, consider making sure the play disc is not installed
to a USB drive to maximize the game's loading time and increase the window of
opportunity.
Once inside the dealership (and if this vehicle actually spawned; it won't
always be there), get inside and call the other character to hang out. Switch
to that character, and the game will teleport the one trapped in the
dealership to outside, so that the meeting can happen. You can either scare
off the other character or hang with them once the meeting happens, but
afterwards, make sure to switch back to them to get control of this vehicle
and finally be able to garage it. Really, you should try to get this BEFORE
Father/Son and save yourself all this trouble.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.5 - Branded White Bravado Bison w/ winch
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Marriage Counseling [MF] (Michael)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing (Franklin in a SUV or truck helps)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
----------------------------------------
Description: A special utility Bison with a winch in the back and branding for
McGill-Olsen Construction, "The Original Cowboy Builder." Similar to the lawn
care branded utility Bison.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This will require maneuvering Franklin and Michael to Michael's
driveway, near where the mission starts. Have Michael stand in the middle of
his driveway (near the Bison) on foot, then switch to Franklin and have him
drive to Michael's house. Get an SUV or light truck on the way (something like
a Cavalcade or another Bison is ideal). Once Franklin arrives at Michael's,
the mission icon should have vanished. Switch back to Michael once Franklin is
in the driveway, which will trigger Franklin to leave the vehicle and comment
on meeting Michael like this.
Then, have Michael jack Franklin's vehicle, and then push the Bison into the
nearby garage (be careful once it gets close to the garage door, or you can
pin the door shut and have to start all over). Once it is inside, drive away
from Michael's house until the mission icon reappears. The Bison should be
waiting inside the garage. At this point, you can also move it to an interior
garage if desired.

6.6 - Special Red Dinka Blista
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Marriage Counseling [MF] (Michael)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing (Franklin in a SUV or truck helps)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
----------------------------------------
Description: A red Blista that is somewhere between grace red and blaze red.
The difference is very subtle and difficult to see.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This will require maneuvering Franklin and Michael to Michael's
driveway, near where the mission starts. Have Michael stand in the middle of
his driveway (near the Blista) on foot, then switch to Franklin and have him
drive to Michael's house.
Then, have Michael jack Franklin's vehicle, and then push the Blista into the
nearby garage (be careful once it gets close to the garage door, or you can
pin the door shut and have to start all over). Once it is inside, drive away
from Michael's house until the mission icon reappears. The Blista should be
waiting inside the garage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.7 - UW Special Black Roof Albany Emperor w/ set plate
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Big Stretch [F] (Lamar)
Difficulty: *
Required: Mission failure
Discovered by: Lancet Jades / StuntmanSnake
Set license plate: [07KZF345]
**LSC trick
----------------------------------------
Description: Very unique, this Emperor possesses a special black color on the
roof (the secondary color), which has lighting different from any existing
color types. The primary color is classic dark blue. It also has stock
lowrider wheels, but does not show them as equipped, which makes it even more
unique. It also has a unique license plate, although this point is rather
moot, as it is already very unique, and the plate follows the normal plate
format.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Once the mission begins, quickly get inside and drive off before
either Lamar or Stretch can get inside. Once one of the two is left behind,
drive away until the mission fails, than exit it. Now take it to a garage.
<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: After purchasing the shotgun, drive to a LSC garage and add a
modification to this vehicle. Proceed to complete the mission and return to
Franklin's house. Once the mission ends, this car should be parked on the
street nearby. This will only occur if it has been modded, and speedy and
efficient evasion of the cops can still score you a gold medal while also
keeping this car.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.8 - "Humane Labs" Brute Boxville
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: BZ Gas Grenades [M] (Vangelico Heist - Smart)
Difficulty: **
Required: Completing this mission before Bugstars Equipment
Discovered by: Lancet Jades / StuntmanSnake
**Complete mission
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT IS IMPORTANT that you do this mission BEFORE Bugstars Equipment, or else
this mission cuts directly into the heist, and this truck will be lost!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
----------------------------------------
Description: This Boxville has the Humane Labs and Research livery, which is
not one of the normal liveries for this vehicle.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Keeping this requires jacking it during the mission and finishing
the mission with it as your active vehicle. Michael will be inside once the
mission is over, and it can be taken to his safehouse garage, or stored in his
intgerior garage using the trick outlined in section 3.3. Failing the mission
will cause the truck to disappear (even if currently driving it), and it does
not seem possible to cancel the mission.
<<Formulated by: StuntmanSnake>>
----------------------------------------
NOTE: It is possible to complete the optional objective and obtain this truck.
Simply make sure to shoot open the back doors and collect the package before
jacking the truck.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.9 - Special Red Ocelot F620
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: I Fought the Law... [MFT] (Devin)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
----------------------------------------
Description: A F620 with a unique shade of red, a little brighter than grace
red and darker than blaze red. The shade is quite a rich red, too, when
compared to those two colors.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Drive to the mission start point, but not close enough to start the
mission. Shoot at any of the three cars parked inside the lot, and the mission
will be cancelled. Now you can get inside this car and take it to a garage at
your leisure!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.s1 - Special Blue Beater Albany Emperor
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Franklin): Grass Roots - The drag (Barry)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
----------------------------------------
Description: This is a beater Emperor in bad shape, but with a unique gray-
blue paintjob on both the primary and secondary color. This color is unlike
any other gray or blue classic, metallic, or matte color.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Enter the scrapyard where the car is located, but don't get too
close. Shoot at the car, and the mission will be cancelled. Now, get inside
and switch to another character. Play as that character for a little while,
then switch back to Franklin. He'll be driving this Emperor somewhere. Now,
you can just drive it to a garage. Note that you can switch back immediately
after switching, but this will cause the mission to start again, requiring
that Franklin fail it (destroy the new Emperor, or drive far enough away) to
properly save the car.

==============================================================================
*7* UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles are unobtainable for whatever reason is listed. This can
include any vehicle type from the previous sections, but as they cannot be
acquired permanently, there is no need to put them in those sections. Colors
are approximated, considering that these vehicles either cannot be customized,
or cannot be driven at all.
Only unobtainable vehicles with a noticeable, provable special feature or
color will be added. UJ and other unobtainable vehicles that cannot have their
color checked and have no obvious evidence of being somehow special will not
be added to this list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.1 - [Unique] Red Dewbauchee Rapid GT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Franklin and Lamar (Beginning)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
Unique license plate: [2603AM56]
--------------------
Description: This sleek red sports car not only has an automatic retractable
roof, but also comes equipped with a unique license plate. It is the left of
the two cars, and also the red one. Taking it prompts Lamar to call Franklin a
"baby big dick."
--------------------
Unobtainable: No damn way to get it out of the mission. It doesn't help that
this is one of the two "beginning" missions, and thus cannot be cancelled or
exited.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.2 - [Unique] White Obey 9F Cabrio
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Franklin and Lamar (Beginning)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
Unique license plate: [5912FL34]
--------------------
Description: This sweet white sports car not only has an automatic retractable
roof, but also comes equipped with a unique license plate. It is the right of
the two cars, and also the white one. Taking it prompts Lamar to call Franklin
a "choosy motherfucker."
--------------------
Unobtainable: No damn way to get it out of the mission. It doesn't help that
this is one of the two "beginning" missions, and thus cannot be cancelled or
exited.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.3 - FIB w/ carbine rifle box
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Carbine Rifles [M] (Vangelico Heist - Loud)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: A regular FIB truck with a wooden box of carbine rifles in the
back seat. This box is not found in these trucks outside of the target in
this mission.
--------------------
Unobtainable: Failing the mission will cause the truck to disappear, and
completing it will lead directly to the heist. Although the truck is driving
around prior to the mission actually starting, it does not seem possible to
cancel the mission and prevent it from starting. And since LSC won't touch
police vehicles, the LSC trick won't work.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.4 - [Unique] Black Declasse Burrito
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Jewel Store Job [MF] (Heist - Loud)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
Unique license plate: [RW1602BO]
--------------------
Description: The only unique feature on this black Burrito is its unique
plate. It may seem like a standard plate, but it has four numbers in the
middle instead of the usual three.
--------------------
Unobtainable: This van is an essential part of the mission and does not exist
outside of it. it will inevitably be left behind while escaping, and failing
the heist does not give an option to exit the mission. Even if it did, it's
highly likely the van would disappear anyways. And LSC will not allow
modification of this vehicle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.5 [Unique] "Bugstars" Declasse Burrito
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Jewel Store Job [MF] (Heist - Smart)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [TODO PT1]
--------------------
Description: This is a Burrito with the Bugstars livery and a unique license
plate. This van is not unique, despite seeming so, as they will randomly spawn
in the Bugstars garage outside of this mission.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.6 - [Unique] Blue Nagasaki Blazer
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Nervous Ron [T] (Trevor)
Discovered by: Skellington87
Unique license plate: [B3L13V3]
--------------------
Description: This is Ron's blue quadbike, and it has a unique license plate
that hints at his paranoia and conspiracy theory-based personality.
--------------------
Unobtainable: This bike is UJ during the mission, and will be long gone by the
time the mission is over. Failing the mission through any means and exiting
will also cause it to disappear, leaving no options for obtaining it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.7 - Cargobob w/ TPI graffiti
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Merryweather Heist [MFT] (Heist - Offshore)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: A standard Cargobob with graffiti sprayed on it indicating it is
now the property of "TPI," or Trevor Philips Industries. As Franklin points
out, despite the graffiti, existing military logos are not sufficiently
obscured so as to hide the fact it is a stolen military helicopter. Despite
its checkered past, it performs valiantly as a bastion from which the gang can
fight the New World Order's lizard army.
--------------------
Unobtainable: This is only used during the mission, and vanishes before the
mission ends. It will also vanish if the mission is failed and exited.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.8 - Black Declasse Burrito w/ rifle in back
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Caida Libre [MT] (Martin Madrazo)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: This Burrito is loaded with a high-powered sniper rifle in the
rear, used to shoot down the jet during the mission.
--------------------
Unobtainable: It is required to be destroyed as part of the mission, and as it
is a mission-important vehicle, any attempt to fail the mission while driving
it will still result in it vanishing. LSC also will not accept this vehicle
for modification.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.9 - [Unique] Black Gallivanter Baller
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Caida Libre [MT] (Martin Madrazo)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [MADRAZO]
--------------------
Description: A black Baller SUV with a unique license plate spelling out
exactly who owns it.
--------------------
Unobtainable: This is found at the end of the mission, but it drives off
without a chance to obtain it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.10 - [Unique] Gray Dewbauchee JB 700 (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Deep Inside [F] (Devin)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [4G3NT]
--------------------
Description: This secret agent-looking car is painted gray and looks really
cool. Also has a unique license plate hinting that the JB stands for Bond.
James Bond.
--------------------
Unobtainable: This is a mission-important vehicle that vanishes after the
mission is completed, and will also vanish if the mission is failed, even if
Franklin is still driving it. Also, LSC is closed during the mission,
preventing the LSC trick from allowing it to be kept.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.11 - Barracks w/ armor boxes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Military Hardware [MFT] (Heist - Paleto)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: Just a normal Barracks truck with some boxes inside the bed that
contain the heavy body armor to be used in the heist.
--------------------
Unobtainable: There is no way to get the vehicle out of the mission, and even
if there was, it is likely that the boxes would vanish, as happens with most
"vehicles that contain a box."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.12 - [Unique] Yellow Pegassi Monroe
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [FA5T66]
--------------------
Description: A bright yellow Monroe with a unique plate. Sleek design, high
speed, and excellent handling will make you regret the fact that this is
unobtainable.
--------------------
Unobtainable: This is a mission-important vehicle that vanishes after the
mission is completed, and will also vanish if the mission is failed, even if
Franklin is still driving it. Also, LSC is closed during the mission,
preventing the LSC trick from allowing it to be kept.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.13 - [Unique] Red Grotti Stinger
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [ALPHADOG]
--------------------
Description: A bright red Stinger with a unique plate. Somehow manages to be
even more unobtainable than the previous Monroe, as it is already on the
Packer and cannot be removed.
--------------------
Unobtainable: As mentioned in the preceding paragraph, this car is already
loaded onto the Packer and cannot be removed, making this extra unobtainable.
Even if the LSC trick worked in this mission, it wouldn't work for this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.14 - [Unique] Orange Overflod Entity XF
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [MKB652]
--------------------
Description: This is a metallic orange Entity XF with black trim and a unique
license plate. As with the Stinger in the same mission, this comes pre-loaded
onto the Packer, and cannot be removed.
--------------------
Unobtainable: As mentioned in the preceding paragraph, this car is already
loaded onto the Packer and cannot be removed, making this extra unobtainable.
Even if the LSC trick worked in this mission, it wouldn't work for this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7.15 - [Unique] Dark Blue Grotti Cheetah
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission: Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [SDTM1YP]
--------------------
Description: This is a metallic dark blue Cheetah with black trim and a unique
license plate.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.16 - [Unique] Gray Dewbauchee JB 700 (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Unique license plate: [4G3NT]
--------------------
Description: This secret agent-looking car is painted gray and looks really
cool. Also has a unique license plate hinting that the JB stands for Bond.
James Bond. This version also has spikes that can be deployed behind the car,
and a machine gun that fires forward, at the perfect level for shooting
through car windows to hit the occupants.
--------------------
Unobtainable: Even though this car seems some action during the mission, it
cannot be retrieved from the mission, and LSC garages are closed (not that you
could get it to one during the time you're driving it, anyways).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.17 - [Unique] Black Z-Type
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Discovered by: Columbo
Unique license plate: [V1NTAG3]
--------------------
Description: A very classy car that has a distinctive appearance. This is
metallic black, and was featured in Eye in the Sky, albeit without the unique
license plate. It comes pre-loaded onto the car carrier and cannot be kept.
--------------------
Unobtainable: As mentioned in the preceding paragraph, this car is already
loaded onto the Packer and cannot be removed, making this extra unobtainable.
Even if the LSC trick worked in this mission, it wouldn't work for this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.s1 - [Unique] Light Blue Rapid GT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Franklin): Paparazzo - The Sex Tape (Beverly)
Discovered by: StuntmanSnake
Unique license plate: [POPPYMI4]
--------------------
Description: This is (supposedly) A Rapid GT that has a unique license plate,
betraying that its owner is Poppy Mitchell. It is light blue, but the exact
color is nearly impossible to pin down as it is unobtainable.
--------------------
Unobtainable: It will vanish after the mission ends, and cannot be obtained
before ending the mission. Failing the mission will cause it to vanish.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.s2 - Special Blue Beater Albany Emperor w/ stash box
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Franklin): Grass Roots - The Pickup (Barry)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: An Emperor with a unique blue color (both primary and secondary)
and a stash box of marijuana in the backseat.
--------------------
Unobtainable: The stash box in the back will vanish if the car is stored in
a garage, or even if you switch characters to someone else and back. Even
then, it requires sniping the truck from outside the mission start radius to
even prevent it from vanishing, since the car will not start, and vanishes if
the mission is failed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.s3 - Random Bravado Duneloader w/ stash box
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Franklin): Grass Roots - The Pickup (Barry)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: A Duneloader truck with a box loaded onto the back, containing
the marijuana stash that Barry needs. The truck's color is randomly determined
from what seem like various grays.
--------------------
Unobtainable: The stash box in the back will vanish if the truck is stored in
a garage, or even if you switch characters to someone else and back. Even
then, it requires sniping the truck from outside the mission start radius to
even prevent it from starting; failing the mission (even while inside the
truck) will cause it to vanish.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.s4 - Bronze Speedo w/ gardening equipment
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Trevor): Vinewood Souvenirs - Tyler (Nigel)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
--------------------
Description: This is a bronze Speedo van with a rake and a bag of gardening
tools in the back. There is also a helmet in the back of the van, but this will
most likely fall out as soon as the vehicle accelerates.
--------------------
Unobtainable: The only unique feature (the gardening equipment) will disappear
once the vehicle is refreshed, whether in an interior garage, safehouse
garage, or even impounded.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==============================================================================
*8* RARE VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles aren't anything inherently special, but are nonetheless unique
for various reasons, often requiring completion of a mission or side mission
to unlock. These can all be obtained at the end of the game without any
problem.
In GTAV, this also includes each character's personal vehicles, which are
persistent objects in-game, and will retain all modifications and upgrades
even if lost or abandoned. These personal vehicles cannot be stored in
interior garages, and will usually not properly save even in normal safehouse
garages.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.1 - [Unique] Franklin's Ice White Bravado Buffalo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Franklin and Lamar [F] (Beginning)
Unique license plate: [FC1988]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: The proud tradition of the Buffalo as a high-powered muscle car
continues, albeit with it classified as a "sports" car in this game. This is
an excellent car with amazing acceleration, speed, and handling when fully
upgraded.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.2 - [Unique] Franklin's Bright Green Western Bagger
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Complications [MF] (Simeon)
Unique license plate: [FC88]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: This is a rather mediocre motorcycle that is given to (read:
forced upon) Franklin by Lamar. It is not necessarily a bad vehicle, but its
acceleration and handling leave something to be desired when it competes with
the likes of the PCJ 600 and Bati 801.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.3 - [Unique] White Vapid Speedo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Repossession [F]
Found: Call Lamar to hang out, and approach the location on foot. Lamar should
arrive in this vehicle.
Unique license plate: [LAMAR G]
----------------------------------------
Description: Lamar's van seems to be an ice white Speedo that has a unique
license plate, although the exact color is impossible to determine since it
cannot enter LSC garages.
----------------------------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Chop
-Hood Safari
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.4 - [Unique] Michael's Black Obey Tailgater
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked (1): After Complications [MF] (Simeon)
Lost (1): After Did Someone Say Yoga? [M] (Michael)
Unlocked (2): After Monkey Business [MFT] (FIB)
Unique license plate: [5MDS003]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: A black four-door sedan with good statistics across the board.
Not a bad car, but rather unremarkable given how saturated the game is with
sedans. Both the primary and secondary colors are classic black.
--------------------
NOTE: When this vehicle is returned after Monkey Business, all previous
modifications will have been stripped, and new ones applied.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.5 - Green "ProLaps" Caddy w/ golf club bag
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When Golfing becomes available as an activity.
Found: Start a game of golf and choose to drive to a hole.
--------------------
Description: This is a green caddy with a ProLaps livery. What makes it
special is the presence of a blue golf club bag on the back. You would think
most caddies on the golf course would have one, but alas, no.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Vinewood Souvenirs - Mark
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.6 - [Unique] Amanda's Torino Red Ubermacht Sentinel
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Marriage Counseling [MF] (Michael)
Lost: After Did Somebody Say Yoga? [M] (Michael)
Unique license plate: [KRYST4L]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: The classic GTA car is back, with metallic torino red as the
primary color (with a bluish steel pearlescent), and torino red as the
secondary - because who can get enough torino red?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.7 - [Unique] Tracey's Yellow Weeny Issa
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Marriage Counseling [MF] (Michael)
Lost: After Did Somebody Say Yoga? [M] (Michael)
Unique license plate: [P3RSEUS]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: This Issa has a unique plate and is metallic yellow with a
shadow silver secondary color. The secondary also seems to have a random
pearlescent color. Since this is a persistent vehicle in-game, it is likely
that the pearlescent is determined when starting Daddy's Little Girl, since
that is the first time this vehicle appears. However, the vehicle sometimes
spawns in the driveway prior to this mission, and if it does, the pearlescent
will be determined then.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.8 - [Unique] Trevor's Garnet Red Canis Bodhi
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Mr. Philips [T] (Michael)
Unique license plate: [BETTY 32]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: A rugged and robust pickup truck that handles fairly well in the
desert of Blaine County. Its speed and acceleration are not the greatest,
although upgrades will make it a formidable vehicle. The wheels of this truck
are the default off-road wheels, but they do not show up as equipped; a
slightly unique attribute.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.9 - "Lost" Declasse Gang Burrito
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When random events become available (for the first chances).
Found: In various random events, switch events, and missions. The best
recurring source of this vehicle is in random missions at the Scrapyard.
**No interior garage
--------------------
Description: This is a larger version of the Burrito van, with a black and
red paintjob and the "Lost" biker gang's livery. Unlike the normal Burrito,
this cannot be stored in interior garages unless using the trick in section
3.3.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Mr. Philips
-Nervous Ron
-Friends Reunited
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.10 - "Smoke on the Water" Brute Pony
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When Franklin purchases "Smoke on the Water."
Found: In "Smoke on the Water" random property missions.
**No interior garage
--------------------
Description: A normal van, like many others, but with the livery for the
prescription marijuana shop "Smoke on the Water." The van is black, with a
green marijuana leaf motif for the front.
--------------------
--STRATEGY: To obtain this, first store a Towtruck at the Floyd's house
parking spot. Wait for a Smoke on the Water mission to appear, and then obtain
the van and return it to the store. It will now be UJ. Fetch the Towtruck from
the nearby parking spot at Floyd's house and tow the van there. Leave and
return (or save and load) and it can be driven! However, it is still unable
to be stored in an interior garage normally, so either keep it in a normal
garage (such as Floyd's), or use the trick in section 3.3 to put it into an
interior garage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.11 - Overflod Entity XF, Super
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After I Fought the Law [MFT] (Devin)
Found: Purchase online at Legendary Motorsport for $795,000. Requires at least
one empty space in the buyer's interior garage.
--------------------
Description: An elegant and busy-looking super car that has an excellent blend
of speed, handling, and power.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-I Fought the Law
-Pack Man
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.12 - Grotti Cheetah, Super
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After I Fought the Law [MFT] (Devin)
Found: Purchase online at Legendary Motorsport for $650,000. Requires at least
one empty space in the buyer's interior garage.
--------------------
Description: An elegant and sleek-looking super car that has an excellent
blend of speed, handling, and power.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-I Fought the Law
-Pack Man
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.13 - Truffade Z-Type, Sports Classics
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Eye in the Sky [FT] (Devin)
Found: Purchase online at Legendary Motorsport for $10,000,000. Requires at
least one empty space in the buyer's interior garage.
--------------------
Description: A limited edition classic sports car that is overpriced, but has
a very unique look.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Eye in the Sky
-Pack Man
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.14 - Dewbauchee JB 700, Sports Classics
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Eye in the Sky [FT] (Devin)
Found: Purchase online at Legendary Motorsport for $475,000. Requires at least
one empty space in the buyer's interior garage.
--------------------
Description: This car is modeled after what a secret agent might drive, with
the name no doubt being a reference to James Bond (JB), agent 007 (700). In
the storyline, this vehicle has various weapons, such as machineguns, a spike
deployer, and an ejection seat, but this is a decommissioned version that is
just a normal car.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Deep Inside
-Pack Man
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.15 - Pegassi Monroe, Sports Classics
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: After Pack Man [FT] (Devin)
Found: Purchase online at Legendary Motorsport for $490,000. Requires at least
one empty space in the buyer's interior garage.
--------------------
Description: This car is yet another sports classic capable of holding its own
against even Super cars. Better yet, it looks damn fine while doing it, too.
--------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Pack Man

*9* SET LICENSE PLATE VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles are ones that are only even remotely special because their
license plate is always the same. What sets these apart from unique plate
vehicles is that these plates follow the normal random naming convention:
2 numbers, then 3 letters, then 3 numbers. These are most likely NOT actually
unique or special, as they could theoretically be created randomly in normal
gameplay at any point. I'm only including this section because people would
complain if I just ditched these vehicles from the guide LIKE I SHOULD.
Remember, these vehicles are only here, in this section, because their "set"
license plate is the ONLY thing making them special. Any serious special
vehicle collectors would turn their noses up at this section like a gourmand
rejecting dog food.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9.1 - Silver Albany Cavalcade
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Big Stretch [F] (Lamar)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Set license plate: [34MTA729]
----------------------------------------
Description: A metallic silver Cavalcade with its default pearlescent. The
license plate is always the same, although it may not be truly unique, as it
follows the random plate format and could theoretically be generated on any
random Cavalcade.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: After escaping the building and the grounds, Franklin will be tasked
with losing a three-star wanted level in a conveniently-provided Jackal. Look
down the street to the northwest and the Cavalcade will be parked on the side
of the road. Get in, escape the cops, and finish the mission, then take it to
a garage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9.2 - Galaxy Blue Ubermacht Oracle (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Three's Company [MFT] (FIB)
Difficulty: *
Required: Mission failure
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Set license plate: [81TDS937]
----------------------------------------
Description: A nice-looking Oracle with a galaxy blue paintjob (primary and
secondary), and an unknown pearlescent. It has a set license plate, and is
apparently used by agent Dave Norton.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: As soon as the mission begins, drive into the food court of the FIB
building and ram the two agents sitting at the table. This will fail the
mission. After exiting, drive to a garage. Interestingly, hitting the nameless
agent near the car will NOT fail the mission, and Dave says he'll just pretend
he didn't see that happen.
<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9.3 - Galaxy Blue Ubermacht Oracle (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Three's Company [MFT] (FIB)
Difficulty: *
Required: A little money
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Set license plate: [81TDS937]
**LSC trick
--------------------
Description: A nice-looking Oracle with a galaxy blue paintjob (primary and
secondary), and an unknown pearlescent. It has a set license plate, and is
apparently used by agent Dave Norton.
--------------------
STRATEGY: During the mission, take the car to LSC and modify it in some way.
After finishing the mission, it will be impounded, allowing an easy retrieval,
provided you can pay the $250 impound fee.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9.4 - Michael's Special Red Declasse Premier w/ set plate
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: After Did Somebody Say Yoga? [M] (Michael);
before Monkey Business [MT] (FIB)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
Set license plate: [88OHS995]
**No interior garage
**Persistent vehicle
--------------------
Description: This is a rental car that Michael possesses after his car is
taken following Did Somebody Say Yoga? Not a particularly amazing car, but it
gets the job well enough. The red color seems to be unique, though, and not
exactly similar to any existing colors.
--------------------
STRATEGY: Although technically a persistent vehicle, this is lost forever
after finishing Monkey Business. As a result, this vehicle is actually
classified as a "special" vehicle due to its set license plate (which isn't
truly unique, unlike other persistent vehicles' plates). The only way to keep
this is to use the 3.3 trick to put it into an interior garage. There's no
way to preserve its persistent property, though, since putting it in the
interior garage will strip the persistence from it.

9.s1 - Mariner Blue Declasse Premier (1st of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Trevor): Nigel and Mrs. Thornhill (Nigel)
Difficulty: *
Required: Towtruck
Discovered by: fnxrak
Set license plate: [28BNT310]
----------------------------------------
Description: This is apparently Nigel's car, and is parked nearby the mission
location. It is metallic Mariner Blue with a random pearlescent. The license
plate is set to a specific combination.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: First, get a Towtruck, from the LSC Garage near the Airport if
needed. Next, drive to the mission start location (it's in Vinewood Hills) and
fire a shot near Nigel to scare him off, cancelling the mission. This is
parked up the street to the northeast of Nigel's position. Hook it up the
Towtruck, drive it to Floyd's house, and leave it in the parking spot. Drive
away and return (or save and load), and there it is! This can also be done
later in the game with the Vanilla Unicorn's parking spots.
If for some reason you want to get this during the period between access to
Floyd's house and the Vanilla Unicorn, you can try to carefully and tediously
wedge it into Trevor's Sandy Shores garage. But don't do this unless it is
absolutely necessary. It's a pain in the dick.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Trevor): Vinewood Souvenirs - Al Di Napoli (Nigel)
Difficulty: *
Required: Towtruck
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Set license plate: [28BNT310]
----------------------------------------
Description: This is apparently Nigel's car, and is used to help apprehend the
target. It is metallic Mariner Blue with a random pearlescent. The license
plate is set to a specific combination.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: First, get a Towtruck, from the LSC Garage near the Airport if
needed. Next, drive to the mission start location and fire a shot near Nigel to
scare him off, cancelling the mission. This is parked next to where Nigel was
on the street. Hook it up the Towtruck, drive it to Floyd's house, and leave
it in the parking spot. Drive away and return (or save and load), and there it

9.s3 - Mariner Blue Declasse Premier (3rd of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stranger (Trevor): Vinewood Souvenirs - The Last Act (Nigel)
Difficulty: *
Required: Towtruck
Discovered by: Timcatgt
Set license plate: [28BNT310]
----------------------------------------
Description: This is apparently Nigel's car, and is used to dispose of the
target. It is metallic Mariner Blue with a random pearlescent. The license
plate is set to a specific combination.
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: First, get a Towtruck, from the LSC Garage near the Airport if
needed. Next, drive to the mission start location and fire a shot near Nigel
to scare him off, cancelling the mission. This is parked next to where Nigel
was in the alley. Hook it up the Towtruck, drive it to Floyd's house, and
leave it in the parking spot. Drive away and return (or save and load), and
there it is! This can also be done later in the game with the Vanilla
Unicorn's parking spots.

<<Formulated by: fnxrak; Lancet Jades for the interim suggestion>>
----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: If you choose to free Al Di Napoli, you will have possession of
this car even after the mission ends. Drive it to a garage at your leisure.
Note that this is incompatible with both of the gold medal criteria, for what
little it may matter.

*10* VEHICLE LIST
==============================================================================
This is a list of all vehicles in the game, along with their make and class.
The lists are based on class, with vehicles in that class listed by model,
and the make afterwards. The model is the traditional GTA vehicle name, while
the make and class were mostly left unknown in-game.
In-game, when inside a vehicle, the game lists the make, model, and class in
this order and format: [MAKE] [MODEL], [CLASS]
If n/a is listed for the make, it means there is no make listed in the game.
If the make is listed in parentheses, it is not shown in-game, but it can be
seen during vehicle selection for races in GTA: Online.

*11* MISSION LIST
==============================================================================
A list of all missions in the game, along with what vehicles are available in
those missions. This list is the order used to sort the vehicles. Strangers
and Freaks missions are also listed. While the 100% checklist mentions 20 of
these missions, there are actually many more, with only some of them counting
towards the actual 100%. These list all of the missions, regardless of whether
they count.
Some missions do not count towards the 69 required for 100% completion, but
still have an entry in the Replay Missions list, as well as award a medal
based on completion of optional criteria (that count towards the 70 gold
medals achievement). These will be denoted with an asterisk (*) and numbered
with the same number as the previous mission in the list. This keeps the
numbered missions at 69 total while still including these "non-mission"
missions.
Note that the characters listed as participating in each mission are basded on
which actually is part of the mission, and not who the game awards completion
of the mission to. For example, only Michael gets credit for finishing
Prologue, but both he and Trevor are part of that mission.

*14* CREDITS
==============================================================================
Arthur Heng
~Informed me of where the car storage spot at Floyd's safehouse actually was,
after I had concluded it didn't exist. A great help! Also confirmed that even
big trucks can be stored there with creative parking. Even discovered that
fnxrak's "mod a vehicle at LSC to keep it afterwards" trick works on a bunch
of mission vehicles! Found a bunch of other assorted things, too.
Columbo
~Found a strategy to get both the blank plate Blista and Peyote from after I
Fought the Law, and a way to obtain the vehicles in Simeon's dealership
(except for the Special Yellow Karin BeeJay XL) up until completing the first
heist. Also found that the Z-Type in Pack Man had a unique plate.
fnxrak
~Helped elucidate the issues with the orange Bison in Repossession. Also
suggested that the FQ 2 in Beverly's second mission might be difficult or
impossible to get on the European version. Also discovered a trick to keep
vehicles from missions by modding them at LSC.
lol232
~Pointed out that the special orange Bison in Repossession might not be
obtainable by failing the mission in some versions of the game.
Sean Lim
~Found a blank plate black Cavalcade after Predator.
Skellington87
~Found that the two Blazers in Nervous Ron have unique license plates.
StuntmanSnake
~Helped me out a lot with many vehicles, and gave me someone to discuss
vehicles, strategies, and other things with. A huge help! And he'll probably
discover dozens more vehicles in the future. Also discoverd how to save any
vehicle at interioer garages!!! And how to duplicate vehicles.
Timcatgt
~Found numerous special vehicles (most of which have not been added yet). Many
of his finds were vehicles that were not very visible and easily missed.
Really, he's by far one of, if not THE most prolific special vehicle
discoverer person thingy for GTAV thus far.

*15* VERSION HISTORY
==============================================================================
0.20 Completed October 3rd, 2013.
First release, has vehicles through the first several missions detailed.
0.22 Completed October 8th, 2013.
StuntmanSnake discovered how to keep the unique plate version of the yellow
BeeJay XL after Complications, and how to get the unique Bison with winch in
Marriage Counseling. Also added more vehicles.
0.25 Completed October 21st, 2013.
Completed through the first heist and a little bit beyond.
0.27 Completed October 23rd, 2013.
Completed a few more missions.
0.28 Completed October 25th, 2013.
Finished a lot of stranger missions and another story mission. Bigger updates
next week!
0.30 Completed November 1st, 2013.
More progress and some fixes, courtesy of fnxrak!
0.40 Completed November 4th, 2013.
Made more story progress, and added a bunch of vehicles that Timcatgt found.
0.50 Completed November 8th, 2013.
Even more main story progress, and some fixes and addition things completed
(like the safehouse list... I think). Also ran a spellcheck on the guide. It
was much needed. fnxrak found a third copy of Nigel's blue Premier, and
Arthur Heng filled me in on the garage mechanics, especially Floyd's house.
0.52 Completed November 11th, 2013.
A bunch of new tactics, including storing any vehicle in interior garages,
duplicating vehicles, and modding vehicles during missions to keep them
afterwards. Great work, StuntmanSnake and Arthur Heng!!!
0.55 Completed November 18th, 2013.
fnxrak found a wat to get both the Cheetal and Entity XF from I Fought the
Law. Also... other stuff. Maybe? Also more garage info from Arthur Heng,
mainly when certain garages are lost.
0.60 Completed November 26nd, 2013.
A blank plate Cavalcade after Predator, and added a blank plate Blista from
I fought the law that I had overlooked. Also covered A Starlet in Vinewood.
0.75 Completed November 29th, 2013.
Made more story progress and added vehicles accordingly. Also removed the
online trick as it is apparent that it only works before finishing the
mission Complications early in the game. Also improved the formatting of
the vehicle sections a lot, better distinguishing between different entries
and sections. Split main sections into "unique/blank plates" and "other
special things," and also made a special "set plates" section to quarantine
them away from all the vehicles that are ACTUALLY special.
0.76 Completed December 27th, 2013.
Columbo reported a way of getting both blank plate vehicles from I Fought the
Law, and a way to access inside Simeon's dealership after Father/Son (up until
finishing the last setup mission for the first heist). Also a bunch of other
small additions I can't be bothered to keep track of.
