  7. Hi I have a 3830 inkjet printer that refuses to print in color - apart from a couple of times after setup. After at day of use where it prints fine in colour - it reverts back into greyscale. Its not a settings issue as they still are set to print in colour. If I hp 3830 printer ink the setting to back and forward to colour - it still prints out in greyscale. If I use the machine just to copy a colour document - it prints fine in colour. So its not the ink level. The ink have been replaced with new ones - same result. Now go to Control panel — Devices and printer — Select all the printer entries and remove the device. Click the bottom-left Start button on the desktop, type device manager in the search box and tap Device Manager on the menu. Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well. Once done you can try cleaning out your temporary files and cached files. You can try using automated applications like some cleaner software's that you can download from the internet. Now restart your computer again. I have uninstalled everything - driveres etc - and reinstalled the printer. It printed fine in colours. Efter a restart it continued to print in colours. Maybe its the firmware in the printer that has a bug. It is however running newest version. Thank you for your help.
