  1. Cops saved a man's life after they talked him out of jumping from the Brooklyn Bridge onto a busy roadway early Sunday.
  2. Two NYPD officers found a pair of unattended bags containing clothes and personal items on the Brooklyn Bridge just after midnight, officials said.
  3. As they tried to locate the owner of the bags, they spotted a man described only as a Belgian adult who had climbed onto a beam of the bridge that hovered over the Manhattan-bound roadway.
  4. The two officers called for backup as they stopped oncoming traffic on the roadway, according to officials.
  5. Responding officers from a Brooklyn precinct scaled the cables of the Bridge, and convinced the distraught man to climb down to safety.
  6. EMS workers took the man to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation, according to police.
