Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has warned unsettled Mateo Kovacic who is weighing his options ahead of January transfer market due to lack of playing time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The World best coach is determined to keep Kovacic for the entire season but the Croatian midfielder is upset with lack of starts he had under Zidane.
Zidane is aware of his frustrations but will not consider the options of losing him
at the middle of the season.
Kovacic is being seen as a major back up to the first-choice midfielders Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric, losing him in the midseason will be a big blow for Real Madrid and Zidane.
However, for now, Kovacic remains dissatisfied and is leaning towards demanding a move in the coming months if the situation is not addressed properly considering the fact that it is a World Cup year.
Real Madrid will be up against a Barcelona-based club Girona on Sunday for their next La Liga match at the Estadi Montilivi.
