n cautioning that could have been tore straight from the film, Get Out, the NAACP on Wednesday issued its first statewi–––de tourism warning to non-white individuals, asking them to not go to Missouri, yes, the whole state.
The move comes after the state governing body in June passed Senate Bill 43, "which makes it more troublesome for representatives to demonstrate their secured class, similar to race or sexual orientation, straightforwardly prompted unlawful segregation," CNN reports.
The Missouri NAACP State Conference called the measure a "Jim Crow Bill," and the notice was perceived broadly at the gathering's yearly tradition a week ago.
It is the main tourism warning ever issued by the 108-year-old association, at the state or national level, takes note of the news outlet.
"People going in the state are encouraged to go with extraordinary CAUTION," the counseling cautions. "Race, sexual orientation and shading based wrongdoings have a long history in Missouri."
