Warm tidings from the Ws. I expect to fill this post out with a heavy reorder of the top 10 as I get some time off from my new job in investments. These last few months have been some of the best of my life. Even the price action of our favorite crypto-currency gives me great happiness. To think of the amazing growth this year as people realize they don’t have to let corrupt government figures oversee the entire concept of money is a dream come true. I remember when I first heard about bitcoin, only a few short days, I think, after Satoshi released the white paper. I remember thinking that if it could happen, the gift it would give to humanity was worth far more than any fortune I might make in the process. Certainly, no fortune has been made as I’ve never owned more than 5BTC total, and currently own significantly less after Asicminer losses. Nevertheless, I consider myself a very rich man. I have a loving wife and family. Wonderful hobbies and talents, a steady job and even a Lexus (albeit 18 years old). I also have all of you, my wonderful and faithful readers. It is to you thank I give the warmest wishes for whatever holiday you celebrate as the year draws to a close. My deepest thanks and love to you all.

I stayed up late tonight, by my hours about 3:00 as I write this. Bitcoin has hit virtual parity with Gold, hitting a high of 1242 on Mt. Gox. I can’t tell if this his history in the making, or a bubble about to burst. This much growth is unrealistic, dangerous, and scary. Never-the-less, I am filled with a childish joy, a mirth gone abandoned. This is FREE MONEY. No, not free as in “free beer,” but rather Free as in Freedom! This is money free from the control of a central bank. Free from a “systemically critical” bank hording money. It is money that costs virtually nothing to exchange with anyone in the world. Well, actually it could get a little cheaper to send BTC now that the price has gone parabolic. Of course, we have to give the miners a reason to keep mining, but $25,000 each block is pretty good to me!

Well, this is it. The post that I promised was coming. I’ve tried to clear out some of the dead links, but I’ll ask you to help below in the comments too. Bitcoin really has changed my life, I’ve always been interested in finance, starting with my bachelors in economics, and my hourly attention to Zerohedge. I’m now working in investments full time, and while I still have a lot of learning to do I am very excited for the transition.
If you are new to this blog, then welcome. I started it back in March (Our 1st Post) earlier this year, when I saw the few coins I had bought years before shoot up from my purchase price of $14 to nearly $50 in over a few days. I wanted to add to my little pot by paying in time rather than cash. Since then, We’ve been honored to have almost 1.6 Million Page Views! Thank You, Our Readers, for this massive honor. I became thrilled early on because I knew Bitcoin was more than just a fad, Bitcoin represents Freedom. Please go back, read the old posts! They are filled with wild optimism. While searching through the archives of this blog, I found a few words I had written around April when the big crash took us from the mid $250s to a low of $50. I thought some of long time readers would enjoy seeing them. I remember being certain we would see the all time high rise, and it did to a recent $900/Coin in the last week. Currently, the freedom currency holds a value to fiat at $860. What heady days these are, and while I am certain BTC will fluctuate wildly (several hundred dollar swings), I expect the value will rise. Granted, take none of this as investment advice!
