I had a funny and great conversation with a friend. In the middle of our conversation, we suddenly talked about relationships or in what we call the "LERV" topic. Very common topic. Yet very hard to talk about. When people ask me this kind of question, I just stop. Smile. And smile some more. I always say that I am happy with what status I have right now. I'm not on that page yet. Don't get me wrong friends, I still see myself blissfully happy in the arms of the one I truly love, but just not yet.
Before, I always include that special someone to God. "Lord baka anjan na yung right man for me. Baka pwede mo na ko ipakilala." or "Lord pakisabi kung anjan na sya para naman makapg-ayos ako." I want to have that feeling of someone sweeping of my feet and will bring me color to my life. I always thought that I was left behind and everyone around me started posting their relationship status. Ako na lang ba ang wala? I start asking myself the same question. WHY?
But then again, as years pass by I realized there's more to life that makes a person happy. Maybe the Lord wants me to experience life's happiness one at a time. The LORD will not deprive me of the love I deserve. Today, He wants me experience life as single and happy person. I am SINGLE, I am HAPPY and available for the Lord. The only relationship status I can post is "In a relationship with God and Service." (corny ba? hhaha) I love the life I have right now, with or without a boyfriend. That chapter on Love and relationships will soon come.
I believe that timing is everything and I believe that all things will fall right into place. All we need to do is wait. Good things happen for those who wait. Today I still pray for that person God created for me. A person that will bring crayons and help me color my world! (more cheesiness! hahaha). And I'm excited for that day to come. Until then I'll settle for the little things that inspire me every day.
