It doesn’t get any better than this. The last seven seconds of the Thunder vs. the Timberwolves got wild, to say the least.
With the game tied at 110, the Thunder called a timeout to get a quick three for Carmelo Anthony in the left corner. But it turns out they left too much time on the clock for Andrew Wiggins and the Timberwolves to throw up a prayer. Turns out it worked.
See for yourself. (Via James Herbert) WHAT. A. FINISH. There are so many things to look at here. Both teams played really solid games. The Wolves led most of the way, but the Thunder kept clawing back to get into it and eventually tied the game at 110.
Karl-Anthony Towns hit a tough floater to regain the lead for the Wolves before Anthony stole it again with his three pointer. The rest is history, and the Wolves come out on top.
This is a great win for the Timberwolves who’ve won two straight over two playoff teams from last season. The Thunder are still searching for the right mix of their rotation and shot distribution, but they looked cohesive on offense tonight.
Both teams will only improve from here. This is going to be a fun matchup to monitor throughout the season.
