Dropbox allows anyone to upload files to a user folder

  1. The popular file hosting service Dropbox cloud appeared in his blog a new feature that will allow anyone to upload files to the account of one of its users even without being registered.
  2. Through the new option enabled, called 'Application Files', the user can give another the ability to upload files to your Dropbox account in a folder of your choice.
  3. The tool also allows you to request files that were previously hosted on Dropbox This in turn can specify which file types are looking for and the reason for the request (invoices, invitations, etc.), to then send a link generated for upload files to the folder or directly a request to the electronic mail from a specific person.
  4. The uploaded files are saved recipients in the 'Application Files' directory, but you can change that location. The tool also allows you to request files that were previously hosted on Dropbox.
  5. This improvement comes as an alternative to file sharing via email between users of different hosting services in the cloud. With it, the platform looking to streamline the process of sharing documents and show their service to potential new users.
  6. The new feature implemented in Dropbox has other advantages: it works with large files (like videos) up to 2 GB in size, that otherwise would not be possible to attach in an email.
  7. According to the company, the option is now available to all users of the service becoming the accounts of companies in the coming weeks.
