CEVRO Academy in the Czech Republic has started accepting Bitcoin to pay tuition for the Master's program includes Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).
In the program, students can pay in Bitcoin for courses: Study on Transformation, Austrian Economics and International Politics.
A message posted on the website of the Institute:
Starting today, students can pay tuition for a master's program at CEVRO PPE by Bitcoin.
We are one of the first university in the world offers this choice for our students. We are proud to be one of British schools such as King's College or the University of Cumbria.
Moreover, the academy CEVRO first in the Czech Republic offer master's programs are taught entirely PPE in English. The program also recruited professors from Europe and the United States.
The cost of tuition from programs specifically designed for "students at home" in the Czech Republic and neighboring countries is 4,500 euros Slovakia. For international students, the cost can be up to 8,400 euros.
Talking about the breakthrough of accepting Bitcoin as a means for students to pay tuition, Professor Josef Sima, chairman of the institute and director of PPE says
We do not want to teach about the market, modern technology and inventions, we want to be reinventing yourself. We want to actively use modern technologies and offer our students new opportunities with the new technology of the present.
Notably, the University of Cumbria is known to be the first to accept Bitcoin pay tuition by, in January 2014.
