  3. Use a wooden spoon to ensure all of the ingredients are well coated. I was really happy with the result, they came out of the oven crispy, and genuinely delicious! Remove from the oven and serve warm with the hara chutney.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the chopped coriander and red chilli, season well with salt and set aside. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes stirring often. These were a real treat and went well with the curry they are easy to make i think the top tip is not to get stressed over them silly as it sounds they may fall apart but just reshape them and get them back into the oven.

Full of speed food too, so feel free to fill up on them. I've been wanting to make a nice baked version of an onion bhaji for a long time- I've never made any type of onion bhaji before, so this recipe was completely made up. I made a batter using sweet potato, egg and spices, and hoped for the best! The key is to cook them slowly on both sides then increase the heat the last 10mins to get the tops crispy. My slimming world consultant uses a mixture of the chickpeas and mashed potato to make them. Served it with plain boiled basmati rice. Season with salt and add a few tablespoons of water to form a thick batter that coats the onion.
  6. RECIPE: onion bhajis (Syn free & EESP friendly) - Arrange the bhajis on a baking tray that has been sprayed with low calorie cooking spray.
  7. We had this on Saturday as a bit of a treat as it's quite a big meal and we weigh in on a Saturday morning. The only syns I used was 2 for a tbsp of Mango Chutney. Served it with plain boiled basmati rice. Chicken Tikka Masala Serves: 4 Prep. Mix the lime juice with the yogurt, food colouring, if using, and 3 tbsp of the tikka curry powder. Season slimming world onion bhajis pour over chicken. Toss to coat the chicken, cover and marinate in the fridge for 2-3 hours or overnight if time permits. Heat a frying pan sprayed with low calorie cooking spray. Meanwhile, thread the chicken onto eight metal skewers, spray with low calorie cooking spray and grill under a medium heat for 12-15 minutes, turning once or twice, until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skewers and stir into the sauce. Take the sauce off the heat, stir in the fromage frais and keep warm. Bombay bhajis and cucumber raita Suitable for vegetarians Serves: 4 Prep. Dry well and transfer into a bowl. Stir in the yogurt and spring onions and chill until ready to serve. To make the bhajis spray a non-stick frying pan with low calorie cooking spray and cook the onion for approximately 5 minutes until tender. Transfer to a bowl, add the potato and chick peas and mash together. Stir in the remaining ingredients and form into small balls. Arrange the bhajis on a baking tray that has been sprayed with low calorie cooking spray. Serve immediately with the cucumber raita.
