A group- the Coalition for Truth and Justice issued a statement on Sunday alleging that Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, governor of Gombe State and Olusegun Mimiko, a former governor of Ondo, were directly responsible for the sponsorship of anti-Buhari protests to the tune of N300 million.
The group called for a passive watch of the alleged sponsors by security agents.
In a statement signed by Charly Boy and Deji Adeyanju on Monday, August 14, 2017, called the allegations “lies and false assertions” and also said that the group was a creation of elements in the Buhari government who are aimed at disrupting the citizen movement.
“We have seen the lies and false assertions of a pro government group called Coalition for Truth and Justice alleging that the Concerned Nigerians and the Our Mumu Don Do movement are being sponsored by a former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Dankwambo,” the statement said.
