  3. Hence my return to kindle fire. Press Power to turn it back on. The Kindle will reboot within a minute or two.
  4. After your Kindle is done rebooting, it will automatically turn back on. Have news or tips to share? Be patient and give your device ample time to finish its reset.
  5. Locate the downloaded file and drag it the root of your Kindle. The reboot screen an all black, or clear screen should appear as soon as you release the power switch. I think as a Kindle user, all of us will encounter a problem that Kindle won't turn on. It is never good to restart your Kindle multiple times, right in a row. The Kindle will reboot within a minute or two. Hence my return to kindle fire. Daniel matches your request with our community of online experts.

Come on, be considerate to the creators. So, recently, my kindle has been freezing a lot and I keep restarting it by long pressing the power button. It freezes while doing almost anything like reading a book, adjusting font etc. But today my kindle while restating it, froze while booting. It is not even responding to long pressing of the power button. What do I do now. I am from India and I bought it while Amazon didn't officially sell the device here. I bought it from ebay. Don't think Amazon will be giving me a free replacement, will they. It rebooted and has been acting good for the past 15 mins. The screen is the most expensive component. If you buy the same model working until the screen broke you'll get it very cheaply, and can swap your good screen into the other non-freezing kindle. I've done this twice with my kindle 3 - after a while they stop charging properly, and replacing the battery doesn't fix it, so I did this and got a working device for around £10.
