Thabana Ntlenyana, according to the national dialect of Lesotho which is Sesotho, means “Beautiful Little Mountain”. It is the tallest mountain among the countries in Southern Africa which also means that it is the highest in Lesotho. The mountain is situated between the Maloti Mountains and Drakensberg which is in the northern part of Sani Pass. It has an elevation of 3,482 meters or 11,424 feet. The prominence of this majestic mountain, however, is only at 2,390 meters or 7,840 feet. This is also often frequented by climbers.
