  13. Digital Asset, which has headquarters in New York, United States and offices in London, United Kingdom and Zurich, Switzerland, was established in 2014. The company specializes in a range of areas including blockchain, hyperledger, clearing, and post-trade services. It builds “distributed, encrypted straight through processing tools” that improve the efficiency and security of the services it offers. The company is also noted for creating the Digital Asset Modelling Language (DAML) contract programming language. Its partnership with VMware will see Digital Asset integrate DAML with VMware’s blockchain platform.
