  7. the heels with a difference are the result of four years of development.

  9. Christopher Shellis, the man who brought us the world's first diamond stiletto shoe,
  10. works with extremely high temperatures to mould the platinum
  11. And on his website it is explained how:
  12. 'due to an ingenious and patented design feature,
  13. the heel of and the sole of the sandal can be quickly and easily replaced by the owner
  14. themselves within minutes. This feature gives the sandal an ability to last forever,
  15. hence its eternal forever guarantee.'
  16. The shoes, named Cleopatra, feature a lily stamen heel and 'Borgezie'
  17. is spelt out around the heel and front strap. If platinum's not your thing,
  18. they can also be made in 18ct white or yellow gold for £60,000.
