  3. Served with rice and salsa Mexicana. Served with rice, refried beans and warm tortillas. Coated with egg batter and fried golden brown. I chose to have the soup from the appetizer section and the smoked sausage from the sides.
  4. Topped with mild red sauce or spicy green Tomatillo sauce and melted Chihuahua cheese. So we found Polska Chata, the pierogi's are so delicate and tasty.
  5. Comes with your choice of shredded pork, met chicken breast or seasoned ground beef. Served with rice and refried beans. Topped with lettuce, sour cream and fresh diced tomatoes. Served with rice and refried beans. The dining room was a museum of the Polish community immigrating to the Rochester area from the late 1800's. Glad with lettuce, Salsa de Oregano and Queso Fresco. Simmered in tomato sauce. Coated with egg batter and fried golden brown.
  6. Botanas / Appetizers - Served with rice and salsa Mexicana. Topped with crisp lettuce, Salsa de Oregano and Queso Fresco.
  7. The kielbasa was ok personally smoked is not my favorite but it was still ok. The cabbage roll was mostly rice and topped with sauce that could be mistaken for vomit. The mashed potatoes were brown and had the texture of packed brown sugar and tasted funky. Like I said visit Babushka instead. Better food for free. We want German but our go to spot was closed. So we found Polska Chata, the pierogi's are so delicate and tasty. There was not one item we ordered that was bad. The dining room was a museum of the Polish community immigrating to the Rochester area from the late 1800's. I chose to have the soup from the appetizer section and the smoked sausage from the sides. The server was so friendly, the restaurant section was full, and the food was delicious. The background music was the music I used to hear on the radio as a youngster, Polish polkas and folk music. The sausage was kielbasa like my mother used to prepare with a few fried onions thrown in. And the tripe soup was tasty without overpowering seasoning, but seasoned well enough to keep it interesting -- very different from the tomato sauce based tripe of my youth. It is worth going out of the way for a visit to this unusual establishment. Always looking to try different things, I found this place near where I work and decided to try it. Located just off the main drag in a small house, the restaurant is on the second floor and is filled with various pictures and items celebrating Polish culture. Downstair is one table you can eat at, a deli area and a number of food items from jellies to cookies you can purchase. I went for the lunch special which included a choice of a few items of which I choose Fresh Polish Sausage which came with 6 pierogi's, onions and sour cream. For my palate, I should have gone for the Smoked Sausage instead but it was a hearty lunch and I loved the pierogi's as the best I have had in the area. This is a place that I will be looking to go back to when the mood hits. I really want to try the hunter's bacon sometime. While Polska Chata is only open for lunch except Friday, when it is open for dinner also, you will be rewarded to find your way here. It is a Polish deli for everything Polish Pirogies, meats, cabbage rolls, and more , all homemade, it also has an amazing dining room and menu upstairs. The food, and hospitality are great, and at very affordable prices. Try not to be in a hurry, as they have a small kitchen, and staff, but any wait is worth it. Polish beer is also available, but served at room temperatures.
