Brock Lesnar responds to Jon Jones callout: ‘Be careful what you wish for

  1. The UFC could have another superfight on the table.
  2. Soon after recovering the light heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier in the UFC 214 headliner on Saturday, Jon Jones took the receiver to issue a test to previous heavyweight ruler Brock Lesnar.
  3. "Lesnar. On the off chance that you need to discover what it resembles to get your rear end kicked by a person who measures 40 lbs short of what you, meet me here," Jones said in his post-battle meet.
  4. Prior in the week, Jones and Lesnar backpedaled and-forward in a roundabout way with Jones saying he would love to battle Lesnar should the master wrestling star come back to the Octagon amid a Facebook Live Q&A, and Lesnar reacting in the positive in a remark to the Associated Press.
  5. Lesnar addressed the AP again following Jones' more obvious test, and he had a basic reaction: "Be cautious what you wish for, young fellow."
  6. While Volkan Oezdemir seemed to have punched his way to a potential title shot with a 42-second KO of Jimi Manuwa on Saturday, and past Jones enemy Alexander Gustafsson is sitting tight in the wings for a moment break at the champ, a verbal understanding between two of the UFC's greatest stars could be sufficient to persuade UFC president Dana White to make a Jones-Lesnar dream battle happen.
  7. Notwithstanding, White recognized at the UFC 214 post-battle question and answer session that Lesnar still needs to serve out the rest of an exceptional USADA suspension, so any reserving of Lesnar is absolutely theoretical now.
