The Tiwai Island is a Community Conservation Initiative. The name translates to “Big Island” and helps different kinds of people like communities, governments, universities and organizations. The Tiwai Island also has a sandy beach to the north. In the rain, you can even see river otters. You can also visit the forest of the island. The colourful primates there like the Diana and the Colubus monkey are easy to spot. As such, it has the highest primate concentration of the 11 species.
