  20. If you are familiar with Windows OS then you will feel Windows Web Hosting easier! If you are familiar with Linux then Linux Web Hosting will be easier!

  30. linux is usually the easier options for a beginner into web hosting because the control panel available are more user friendly and the price is usually lower.

  34. Linux all the way. Windows hosting is very slow so it should only be used if there is a specific requirement. Most of the web hosting providers use the Linux OS called Cent OS with cPanel

  50. If you are planning on using managed hosting services, which it would seem you are, it won't matter that you don't really know about hosting. Linux has a reputation for being for more technical, where Windows is more for the everyday user. These reps are pretty specific to computer operating systems. When it comes to hosting, Linux is by far the better option and as a shared hosting user, you will not know the difference between your site being hosted on Linux vs Windows, other than performance and affordability.
