  1. I will try to basically sum this up in a few sentences. I know most people have heard of a "benzo" but really are unfamiliar with exactly what one would be even though they might have a bottle of form of a popular benzo tucked away for airplane turbulence anxiety; Valium of course. Benzos are a type of drug that act the same receptors as alcohol giving off the feeling of mild euphoria and obviously making you feel less anxious and more sociable. They also have muscle relaxing qualities and are anti-convulsants (seizures). Unfortunately tolerance builds very quickly to the very attracting qualities of a benzo, within weeks sometimes. Now in the situation the medication is prescribed daily to remedy anxiety disorder and panic attacks they prove to make a very positive impact on your social life, self confidence and just an all around feel. Now that is how it made me feel and then after month or two settled off and left me content.
  2. Mild Clonazepam withdrawal 3 Days 80 Hours
  3. 3mg a day. 1mg 3 x a day for the past 3 years.
  4. Well last week I ran out of clonazepam again after 30 days and as it has been for the past 4 months I am scrambling to find a doctor and I usually blow off the first day, go on the second day find out here is 30 people there and say I'll go tomorrow early, and then go on the 3rd day.
  5. Well I have never done this and waited longer then a day and a half and let me tell you by the nightfall of day 2 I finally realized what withdrawing from benzos was always proclaimed as pure hell. I went to the doctor early on day 2 but there was tonnes of people and I felt OK I guess at that point so I said "ahh what the hell I'll go tomorrow," not knowing how bad it was going to get. Me at that point was just about to hit 48 hours without a pill. So the night when on and my skin started to feel staticy is the best way to describe it. Here I will actually list my symptoms.
  6. NOTE: Apparently I read that benzodiazepine withdraws get worst on day 5 so I still was not even at the worst!

  10. Stomach turning over
  11. Exhausted from kicking the sheets all night long no sleep
  12. These bolts of electricity feeling best I can describe it keep shooting through me and my body jumps. I also had that all night trying to sleep,
  13. Freezing cold, very odd.
  14. My hands and body feel like they are inside crawling in a weird way.
  15. Wide awake, but slept maybe 3 hours
  16. Really starting to get angry and agitated
  17. So that is what I was feeling and that was just 72 hours in. I realized for me to come off clonazepam its going to be a long taper process.
  18. Now when you are in supply of your medication and have the time to book or make proper arrangements with your family doctor to renew your prescription.
  19. Being a recovering addict of the worst kind at age 24 I found a way to express myself at the very beginning the last 6 years of self destruction. That method of expression was writing. A character trait which I have been gifted with to a certain degree is what kept making me try again - over and over - until I grasped on for life and said enough.
