Do shared hosting allow gmp in php extension
I checked with my current and one more host. They said gmp php extension won't be available in shared hosting if needed go with VPS (but i can afford it now). Due to security concern GMP is disabled in all shared hosting?

This will really depend on your provider. Every provider can enable/disable modules as they see fit for their server. Since you are on a shared server you will have to depend on whether they will enable it for you or not. If you were on your own server, then you can enable whatever you need. You might want to contact other providers and ask them if they have that enabled or if they would enable it for you.

I do not think there is any security concerns with it.
By default GMP is not installed on cPanel servers. Most of shared servers are setup with default and most used php extensions.
Generally hosting providers does not recompile apache/php for one client on shared server and force that client to move on VPS so they can setup new VPS as per requirements.
Best wishes
No, they didn't mention any detail on the security concern
@cpanelmanagement I think that is the reason they are not enabling it for me alone. I don't need a VPS now as my site is new and with less traffic.
This is what the forum software team quoted when i said gmp is not available in shared hosting "After all, it's a fairly innocuous set of functions, related to mathematical operations (which we actually use in the context of encryption, therefore security) so it's a fairly pointless thing to be stubborn over."
