Shania Twain has at last uncovered why she name-dropped Brad Pitt in her famous 1998 single "That Don't Impress Me Much"— you know, the one with the music video where she's wearing a provocative, go to toe panther print hide equip in the Mojave Desert effortlessly.
In the tune, she says, "alright, so you're Brad Pitt/That don't awe me much..."
"You need to know reality about this story? I've never told this. I will state it now," she said at a Spotify HQ occasion to advance her new collection Now, as found in video posted by Billboard Thursday. "I recollect that I had a sweetheart going to me and it was close Christmas and we were heating treats. I was composing this collection and there was an embarrassment of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Paltrow], where there was exposed photos...and this resembled, extremely popular, right."
In a current meeting with Irish radio station RTÉ 2FM, Twain said "That Don't Impress Me Much" is intended to be unexpected.
"Everything in that tune awes me," she said. "I mean it's altogether intended to be unexpected and obviously, Brad Pitt is a standout amongst the most good looking men alive. Despite the fact that I don't concede that in the tune, that was the general purpose behind it."
