How are computers used in your school? How do you think computers will be used in school in future?
We live in a world which cannot be imagined without the presence of computers. They have been invented in the previous century. Earlier versions of computer have on its disposal only few applications and have been used particularly for scientific purposes. Since their invention they gradually are improved. More and more applications are embedded into them. Taken all together these applications hoist the computers in powerful machines which serve to us for completing of many tasks and for relaxing as well. The computers are utilized by us during our job, during the studies and as I mentioned during a time intended for enjoyment.
The schools in my country are outfitted with computers. Nevertheless, the usage of these computers is not as it should be. Lacking in knowledge needed to use the computers makes the professors to avoid them as long as the class lasts. It holds for the most of the professors. But, of course, there are professors who have proper attitude toward the computers. The appropriate example of someone who used the computer during the class was my physics teacher. He was showing to us some examples online and phenomena which cannot be demonstrated in the classroom. We had learned a lot using the helpful demonstrations on internet. Likewise, should be mentioned that on internet could be found a lot of explanations of the lectures which are not sufficient explained in our books. Another successful example was our English language teacher. During some classes during the school year we have listened to free online radios on English language in order to be accustomed on real English pronouncement. In addition to this we had read aplenty of online articles within famed newspapers. This is a towering aid because we learn new words unknown to us until then.
According to me, the usage of the computers in the schools surely will be bigger than today. Most likely, prerequisite will be the teachers to be familiar with some computers skills in order to be employed. The teaching process will be computerized. We will take the exams on computer. This obviously will be of a great benefit for the teachers because they will not be forced to read from a handwriting which barely can be understood. The same holds for the home works. The rating will be faster and rather effortless. Some of the classes might be held outside a standard classroom. I mean, the students will be enabled to follow to the class while they are at home. In any cases, the most important and most difficult classes as well as the examinations will be held on the school’s classrooms. Abound of software packages will be developed which will provide more efficient learning to the students.
As a conclusion, I can summarize that the computers in future will be widely used in schools. This will be of a great interest to the students and to the professors as well. Gradually, the teachers will be more willing to use this unchangeable technology.
