We hear a heartbeat and a whine as everything stops. a new figure appears, at the end of a corridor of two-story circular offices, eating grapes from a giant beaker. It is a young man (basil, mid-20s) with a dizzying array of injuries. Some nicked with a sharp stick, others exaggerated and bleeding. His clothing has been arranged to give the appearance of a medieval court; as if he were dressed for a costume ball, complete with gaudy gowns and black boots. It is very obviously a nobleman or at least has the proper rank and influence, and his voice is full of thematic braggadocio:
