Personally have not use for these things and none in office or house, but I know quite a few who have them. Kind of useful, but if these things become nanny AND can call the cops that's something different.

Wow- "Demolition Man" seems to be rather prophetic. I wonder if Google Home/Amazon Echo will soon spit out tickets as well.
Reporting breaking the law is one thing, but I am against anything that tries to impose someone else's morality on people.
I'm guessing that most of the users of these things have no real understanding of what they can/will do, now or in the future.

Voice command/activation of anything means it's always listening as I understand it anyhow.

Just by any TV and don't connect it to the network. It'll be dumb as a door knob.
