Peyton Reed is returning to the director's chair for the threequel, and he's promised that Quantumania will be the biggest and most ambitious Ant-Man movie yet. That's saying something, considering the first two films in the franchise have already been pretty darn big.
According to Rudd, the film will see Scott Lang teaming up with Hope and Cassie to take on a new threat: the super-villainous Quantumania, played by none other than Jonathan Majors.
"It's a little bit of a heist movie, it's a little bit of a chase movie," Rudd said of the film in an interview with Collider. "But really, it's about Scott Lang trying to reconcile with his daughter, and also dealing with the fact that he's just not as good at being Ant-Man as Hope is."
While we don't know too much about Quantumania yet, we do know that he'll be a formidable foe for our heroes. In the comics, he's a super-genius with the ability to bend space and time, making him a very dangerous enemy indeed.
