Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has recovered from a heart viral infection after he was diagnosed with the infection last month, according to report.
Carvajal won’t return to action as he needs to spend some time to relax as confirmed about Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
The Spanish defender was examined with pericarditis - a viral infection affecting the membrane enclosing his heart, which is incredibly rare and difficult to treat.
“Dani is doing well and the result of the tests is good news,” Zidane told reporters.
“He has been cycling today and whilst he is healthy there is a recovery process he must go through and we will and see how that goes.
Carvajal only recently signed a new contract with Madrid until June 2022 with 18-year-old Moroccan Achraf Hakimi covering in his absence.
Real Madrid will take a trip to Fuenlabrada to play the first leg of the Copa Del Rey at the Fernando Torres Stadium.
