Lake Malawi is the top tourist attraction in the country – a rift lake that has a maximum depth of 706 meters and a length of 580 kilometers. That distance makes you think that the lake is not only in Malawi alone. Mozambique and Tanzania also considers the lake one of their natural tourist destinations. Candido José da Costa Cardoso, a Portuguese explorer, discovered the lake in 1846. Some Nile crocodiles, hippopotamus, and African fish eagles were spotted living by the lake.
