  1. Arda Turan's decision to turn down a lucrative £44 million move to China is one that has greatly annoyed Barcelona, according to reports.
  2. The 30-year old, who arrived at Barcelona from Atletico Madrid in 2015 but had to wait until January 2016 to make his official debut because of the transfer ban imposed on the Catalan club, hasn't made a positive impression at the club.
  3. So much so that in January this year, Barca wanted to offload him after just a year at the Nou Camp but the Turkish international didn't fancy the switch, as per Mundo Deportivo.
  4. That, as well as Turan's reported failed return to Galatasaray in January, has angered Barcelona and he has already been touted as moving on in January having not even made an appearance this season - his only football coming for the Turkish national team.
  5. He's as out of favour with manager Ernesto Valverde at the moment, and Barca appear to want rid as they look to refresh their squad.
  6. They will no doubt make a considerable loss on the €41 million they paid to land him. And there's already talk of a loan move back to Galatasaray happening mid-season, with Turkish newspaper Fanatik reporting that the Turkish giants are reviving their interest in Turan. Coach Igor Tudor is quoted as saying Turan is "a good option" who may be "the name we need to complete our attack".
  7. Turan has made 55 appearances for Barca, scoring 15 goals and winning four trophies. In six years at Gala, he amassed 197 appearances and lifted one Turkish Super Lig title.
  8. The Turkey international is contracted to Barca until 2020.
