Not secure doesn't mean it's compromised. Still, free SSLs have much headache than having no one.

That is a problem, if people heed the warning message. With that news, SSL can be a major selling point for hosts. Anything to make it a pain in the arse for PBN's to manage. Know what I'm sayin'?
SSL certification ensures your website's security completely. Google prefers secured website. Still it is not considered as the direct ranking factor. But In future I think Google may consider it as ranking factor so we should use it.

If your internal links are not relative, you'll have to redo every one of them on every page (I have thousands of internal links; you might too). You'll have to change every other link out from every page (do a View Source and you'll see you probably have plenty of them) to https. You'll lose all your Facebook Likes that were given to your http pages. Those are just some of the problems.

So I'm sticking with http and avoiding the massive, page-by-page redo of my website that the switch to https requires. I'll just live with that security warning in the browser bar. Knowledgeable web surfers will understand that they are not exposing themselves to security risks, since they aren't providing any personal information.
