vhs to dvd conversion

  1. You should definitely do a conversion to a digital file. DVDs are already on their way out, and who knows how long bluray will last.
  2. After you get the digital files, you can always burn them to DVDs, but I would recommend copying them onto a USB flash drive (or two) for safe keeping. In fact, with digital files you could do all three just in case: burn to DVD, burn to bluray or cd, and copy to a flash drive.

  4. will do that. So have you done this? I take it you have. I'm surprised that a lot of people aren't doing a lot of conversion from VHS to digital. You gotta save that stuff.

  6. I've done it, although in a fairly low tech way. I bought one of those cards that allows you to plug in a composite video output (the yellow plug on those old 3 plug red, white, and yellow TV cords) and recorded the output from a VCR on my computer.
  7. I'm sure with a dedicated VHS to digital device you should have an even easier time. :thumbup:
  8. It's really nice to have them all in digital files because you can so easily move them around and play them.
